Actor and comedian Faizon Love recently reacted to Diddy's arrest with an Instagram video, on September 16, 2024. The rapper has been accused of s*x trafficking, racketeering conspiracy, and transportation to engage in prostitution.
Love has gained recognition over the years for his performances in various projects such as Step Up: High Water, That's So Raven, and The Paperboy.
Faizon began by saying that he was confused with everything that had happened to Diddy, also known as Sean "Love" Combs. Love addressed the criticism that emerged out of the footage where Sean can be seen allegedly assaulting Cassie Ventura and added:
"I think we should definitely lock this n*gga up [for] putting his hands on a young lady but I don't understand the other sh*t. Can yall help me? When has being nasty been a federal crime? And I'm glad they told me. I didn't know there was a limit on baby oil."
He continued by requesting everyone to let him know about the new rules and continued:
"I know you get a massage or something or whatever yeah I don't know. Please tell us the new rules for this because maybe they're not new rules actually."
On the other hand, netizens took to the comments section of The Shade Room's Instagram post to share their reactions to Faizon Love's clip. One of them also wrote:
"Pay attention, these men are telling on themselves!!!!"
A portion of the public was spotted criticizing Faizon Love for the words he said in the video, with a person writing that Love should also be sent to prison.
Faizon Love has portrayed important roles in various films and TV shows
The Santiago de Cuba native became a part of the entertainment industry around 37 years ago. Notably, his career started at a very young age and he slowly accumulated a huge fanbase by playing different characters, which he continues until today.
Faizon Love appeared for an interview with Dallas Black in 2009, where he was questioned about the "big break" in his career. He replied by saying that he is still searching for the same and continued:
"A career is like bricks and mortar. Each movie you make adds to the foundation of a body of work. When you retire, you may get to look back and reflect on what might have been your big break, but you don't have that luxury in the middle of your career."
Love made guest appearances in the episodes of TV shows like The Parent 'Hood, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Wild 'N Out, and Detroiters. Furthermore, he was a panelist in the game show Hip Hop Squares in 2017. He has been appearing as Al Baker in the drama series, Step Up: High Water.
In his conversation with Dallas Black, Faizon Love said that he wishes to pursue a career in direction. He stated that he wants to make a film which would be a "sort of an homage to Bruce Lee". He added:
"I'm going to make some more Seventies-style karate movies with budgets around $5 million. Hopefully, they'll turn over a profit."
The 56-year-old also has many films in his credits, including B*A*P*S, The Fighting Temptations, The Perfect Holiday, Bulletproof 2, Block Party, and more.
