Jon Bon Jovi, the American singer and songwriter, recently confirmed the news that his son Jake Bongiovi and Stranger Things actress Millie Bobby Brown are now officially married.

On Tuesday, May 28, 2024, the 62-year-old guitarist made an appearance on BBC's The One Show. During the interview, Bon Jovi gushed over the newlyweds and their wedding, saying,

"They are great. They're absolutely fantastic. It was a very small family wedding, and the bride looked gorgeous, and Jake is happy as can be. It's true."

The couple has not revealed the exact date of the ceremony, however, it took place over the May 18-19 weekend. According to the media outlet, Millie and Jake are planning a larger ceremony later this year.

Millie Bobby Brown and Jake Bongiovi are married, says Jon Bon Jovi

Jon Bon Jovi is a famous name, most popular for his work as the founder and frontman of the rock band Bon Jovi. The group was formed in 1983 and currently consists of Jon, keyboard player David Bryan, Tico Torres on the drums, guitarists John Shanks and Phil X, percussionist Everett Bradley, and Hugh McDonald, who plays the bass guitar.

The band has released 15 studio albums with Jon Bon Jovi and he also has two solo albums. The rock star shares four children with his longtime wife, Dorothea Bongiovi. They have one daughter Stephanie, 30, and three sons Jesse, 29, Jake, 22, and Romeo, 20. On Tuesday, the musician spoke about his son Jacob (Jake) Hurley Bongiovi's "small family wedding" with Millie Bobby Brown.

Jon Bon Jovi confirmed that the pair tied the knot last weekend. Bon Jovi, his wife, Dorothea, and Millie's parents Kelly Brown and Robert Brown were also in attendance.

The pair first met in 2021 when they were both teenagers and went Instagram official in November of that year. Jake and Millie announced their engagement in April 2023 on Instagram. The actress told the story of how Bongiovi proposed to her while appearing on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon in March 2024.

She explained that it all happened underwater,

"Basically, Jake and I bonded over diving. We love diving, we got our diving licenses together. He gives me like a shell and I like, turn it over and it’s a ring. And I like, looked at him and he was like... (mimics Bongiovi talking underwater). So I was like okay. And I think it was underwhelming, but we freaked out.”

Jon Bon Jovi supported the couple's decision to get married, despite their young age. In May 2023, he explained during an appearance on SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen Live,

"I don’t know if age matters. You know, if you find the right partner and you grow together, I think that would be my advice really, is growing together is wise. Growing together and so I think that all of my kids have found the people that they think they can grow together with and we like ‘em all."

Millie is 20 years old while Jake is 22. The newlywed couple was spotted on Monday, May 27, dressed in casual clothing and wearing their wedding bands as they held hands walking down the streets.
