On November 9, Bill Burr, the host of Saturday Night Live's first post-election edition, began the show with a monologue. He said in his opening remarks that women are "0 and 2 against this guy," referring to Trump's 2016 victory over Hillary Clinton.

He continued to address women trying for office, saying,

“All right, ladies, you’re 0 and 2 against this guy. O and 2! All right? But you learn more from your losses than your wins… So let’s get into the game tape, all right? Ladies, enough with the pantsuit. Okay? It’s not working. Stop trying to have respect for yourselves..”

He added,

“You all know how to get a free drink.. I know a lot of ugly women — I mean feminists — don’t want to hear this message. But just tease ‘em a little bit! Make a farmer feel like he has a shot. Swing a state over a little bit!”

Meanwhile, once the video went viral, people took to X to express their opinions on the same. One user praised Burr’s speech and said that it is the “post woke era.”

“The best… we are in the post woke era,” wrote one user.

Others also complimented the comedian, saying that he did “pretty well” and he is “hilarious.”

“Bro walked in to offend came out successfully completing the mission”, one user said.
“I think he did pretty well,” complimented another one.
“Woke is dead!! Bill's hilarious!” said another one.

However, not everyone agreed with him. Some stated that his speech was “painfully unfunny” and “horrific.”

“What happened to Bill Burr? Is he that miserable at home, now? Damn, that was painfully unfunny,” said another user.
“Bill Burr is very funny. This wasn’t funny at all. Big time swing and a miss…” another X user claimed.
“Jesus that was horrific,” another one commented.

For the third time, comedian Bill Burr hosted the sketch comedy program on November 9. The 56-year-old hosted the first episode of the show since Trump defeated Kamala Harris in the US presidential election on November 5.

He kicked off his monologue, stating,

“Nice to be here on such a fun week. I don’t want to hear it. I don’t watch politics so we’re gonna keep it light.”

During the same speech, Bill Burr further addressed Harris and Clinton, whom Trump had already defeated, and said,

“You don’t win the office on policy; you gotta wh*re it up a little! I’m not saying go full Hooters… But find the happy medium between Applebee’s and your dad didn’t stick around....”

Not just Harris or Clinton, Burr also criticized Trump and called him an “orange bigot." He also tagged him as a “lunatic” and an insane human being. Then, he referred to the assassination attempt on Trump during his Pennsylvania rally on July 13.

Talking about the same, he stated that he thought Trump's "herky-jerky movements" were the main reason he survived the attempt. Furthermore, he said that he felt relieved that the election was over because it seemed to take "forever."

He then added,

“Everybody knew who they were voting for four years ago and then they just drag you through a year and a half of this stuff.”

As his monologue came to an end, Bill Burr also brought up Trump's latest campaign trip, where he worked at a McDonald's, in spite of his previously accusing Kamala Harris of lying when she said she had once worked there as a college summer job.

He went on to claim that Trump going to McDonald's was his favorite part of the campaign since it was the only time he had ever witnessed the President-elect looking "truly happy."

As of this writing, neither Harris’ representatives nor Trump’s representatives commented on his monologue.
