Comedian Jimmy Kimmel recently made the news after his last Late Night Show episode on Monday night, January 13. During one of his monologues in the show, he addressed the recent La wildfires and broke down in tears.

While doing the same, he further called out Trump for allegedly not doing anything and his followers for allegedly attacking the LA firefighters who were trying to save lives. During the same, he said:

“I don’t want to get into all the vile and the irresponsible and stupid things our alleged future president and his gaggle of scumbags chose to say during our darkest and most terrifying hour."

While calling out the President-elect's supporters, he continued:

"The fact that they chose to attack our firefighters, who apparently aren’t white enough to be out there risking their lives on our behalf—is disgusting, but it’s not surprising.”

Meanwhile, once the monologue was uploaded on X by @EricLDaugh on January 14, it went viral. Netizens then took to the clip to express their opinion on the whole thing. Many criticized Kimmel for his words. One alleged that he was a “fraud” while another one said that as he had no source material, he decided to attack Trump verbally.

“This guy is such a fraud,” one X user wrote.
“Jimmy Kimmel knows his career has been resurrected by Trump’s reelection. He literally has no other source of material,” assumed another one.
“What a fall off from The Man Show... Yea the fires are beyond terrible but doesn’t mean you just make up nonsense and spout it on your show,” criticised one X user.

Another netizen commented:

“How about the fact these firefighters weren’t strong enough to pull a grown man out of a fire!” said one.

On the other hand, many netizens tried to give him constructive criticism, as one said that he is now just “whining about the mean Republicans,” while another said he is supporting the wrong side.

“What ever happened to him being a comedian? When did late night become white liberal men whining about the mean Republicans and lying about our intent and beliefs?” wrote one user.
“Funny because the side he supports drained the water reserves and cut the firefighters budget by millions MONTHS before this tragedy...” another one said.
“No, Jimmy, we are looking through the merit lens. No one thinks Newsom is doing a good job either,” another X user said, sarcastically.

Jimmy Kimmel was moved during his monologue on Monday, January 13, in response to the horrific wildfires that have swept through Los Angeles County. While addressing the wildfire, he said:

“As you know, it is a very scary, very stressful, very strange week here in LA where we work, where we live, where our kids go to school. We are back in our studio, which we had to evacuate on Wednesday. That's our building right there, the El Capitan…”

Trying to describe the situation further, the host continued:

“Many of us had to leave our homes in a hurry. Some of our co-workers lost their homes. That's Hollywood. It's been terrible.. Everyone who lives in the city knows someone, most of us multiple people, families, friends, colleagues, neighbors, whose house is burned down…”

Jimmy Kimmel then noted that no one knew if it was over. He further claimed that a hundred miles per hour winds might be fueling this nightmare. Kimmel then said that the tragic incident of the LA Wildfires has been a "sickening, shocking, awful experience."

Trying to find a positive side to this, Jimmy Kimmel said:

“But it's also been in a lot of ways a beautiful experience because once again, we see our fellow men and women coming together to support each other. People who lost their own homes were volunteering and parking lots helping others who lost theirs..”

Nevertheless, after receiving criticism from internet users, Jimmy Kimmel hasn’t said anything publicly.
