Guy Fieri is currently mourning his father, Jim Ferry, passing away. The 56-year-old Food Network celebrity said in an Instagram video on June 16 that he was spending his first Father's Day without his father, who passed away at the age of 81.
In the video, he said-
“Hope everybody's having a great Father's Day. I'm with Hunter and Ryder, the family right now, a bunch of our friends all getting together. Kind of a tough day for me. First Father's Day without my dad, Jim. But even when you're having a tough day, some little miracles happen in the world.”
On January 27, 2024, Jim, the owner of several stores in Ferndale, California, the hometown of Guy and his late sister Morgan, passed away. Jim is survived by Guy’s mother, Penny, Guy and his wife Lori, and their three children, Ryder, Jules, and Hunter.

He said in the video that he hoped Father's Day was going well for everyone. Additionally, he mentioned that he was currently with his family, Hunter and Ryder. He also said that some of their friends have gathered.
However, he said that he had a somewhat difficult day. This is due to the fact that it was his first Father's Day without his father. Nevertheless, he made it clear that even in the face of adversity, he continued to hold the belief that small miracles do occur in the world.
He continued by saying-
“Paul and Lisa Thompson, a really good friend of ours, have a beautiful little daughter named Trinity that I've always had a close connection to. And today at dinner, she came up and gave me a card and handed me this glass and says, only the best uncles are promoted to Godfather. and ask me if I'd be your godfather. Pretty special day.”
Distractify reported that Guy had already discussed his family. He claimed that soon after Guy was born, he and his parents, Jim Ferry and Penelope Ferry, relocated to Ferndale, California.
In the past, Guy claimed that his parents were "hippie parents" and that they "never did drugs or anything like that." Guy Fieri also said that his parents fit well in Ferndale.
The same source further reported that he said-
"My dad, Jim, was an entrepreneur and my mom, Penelope, was a homemaker who helped my dad. Soon after they settled in Ferndale, they opened Dave’s Saddlery — named for their partner Dave Clowse — where they sold the belts and candles they made."
It also stated that Guy regularly asked members of his family to make appearances on his television shows. Penelope, his mother, most recently made an appearance in Tournament of Champions Season 3, Episode 5.
Penelope, who is identified as Penny Ferry on IMDb, also made appearances in shows like Guy's Grocery Games several times between 2014 and 2021. She also participated in Guy: Hawaiian Style, Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives, and Guy's Big Bite.
