Meghan Markle decided to delay the Netflix debut of her new series With Love, Meghan amid the ongoing wildfires in Los Angeles. Instead of the previously announced January 15 premiere date, With Love, Meghan will be released on March 14 at Markle's request.
In a statement shared by Netflix on Sunday, January 12, Meghan Markle thanked the streaming platform for supporting her request to postpone the premiere, saying:
"I'm thankful to my partners at Netflix for supporting me in delaying the launch, as we focus on the needs of those impacted by the wildfires in my home state of California."
Markle, who currently resides in Montecito with her husband, Prince Harry, and their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, was born and raised in California. And, with the ongoing wildfires devastating people and homes in Southern California, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry lent their support to the victims and first responders.
Good Morning America reported on January 12 that the couple was seen handing out food parcels to evacuees at the Pasadena Convention Center on Friday, January 10. The convention center currently serves as an evacuation hub for people displaced by the fires.
They have also shared a list of resources for those affected by the wildfires on their Sussex website along with an encouragement to people to open their homes for friends, loved ones, and pets who need a safe haven.
