Dave Coulier, known for his performance in Full House, has been diagnosed with stage three non-Hodgkin lymphoma. The comedian and actor revealed to People magazine on November 13 that he was diagnosed in October after his doctor recommended PET and CT scans as well as a biopsy. The tests were ordered due to the enlargement in his lymph nodes caused by an upper respiratory infection.
Stating the same, he said:
“Three days later, my doctors called me back and they said, ‘We wish we had better news for you, but you have non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma and it’s called B cell and it’s very aggressive’.”
Coulier claimed that as soon as he received his diagnosis, he and his wife Melissa Bring, as well as a few of his close medical friends, got together right away to address the issue "head-on."
Dave Coulier and Melissa Bring tied the knot on July 2, 2014, after dating for nine years and staying engaged for a month. She is a producer and a photographer and is well-known for movies like Can't Get Arrested, Laundry Room Romance, and Stripped: Montana. Melissa and Dave, however, do not have children. He and his first wife, model and actor Jayne Modean, have a son.
Dave Coulier was married twice and has a son
Dave Coulier and Jayne Modean got married in 1990 and divorced in 1992. Luc, their son, was born in late 1990. Jayne Modean is a model and actor, who first gained popularity after appearing on the covers of Seventeen and Inside Sports. She has appeared in films like Spring Break and House II: The Second Story. Additionally, she has worked on TV shows like Trauma Center, Street Hawk, and The Fall Guy.
After his divorce from Modean, Coulier started dating Melissa Bring in 2005. Melissa Bring is a producer, as well as a portrait and wedding photographer based in Los Angeles. She was born on June 20, 1983, in Montana. Target, Tony Hawk, and Ranrio have been among her most prestigious clients.
As per Famous Birthdays, when the 41-year-old received her first camera as a present at the age of 11, she practiced by clicking pictures of her siblings and friends. She and her brother created Bring Media, a photographic and video services firm. Bring married the Full House star in front of his co-stars from the show, including Bob Saget, Candace Cameron Bure, and John Stamos.
In a November 2020 interview with Closer, the Surreal Life alum revealed the key to keeping their romance going and said:
“We laugh a lot. We’ve been through friends getting married or divorced and babies being born and family members dying. Through all those times, we’ve found a way to find the silver lining by laughing.”
Meanwhile, not much is known about Luc, Dave’s son whom he shares with his first wife. He was his father's best man at his wedding with Bring and went on to become a pilot for FedEx.
In June 2019, Dave Coulier shared a picture of himself and his son on Father's Day on Instagram and captioned it:
“I’ve had no greater joy in life than to be this young man’s father. He has made me so proud and I love him to the ends of the Earth. #fathersday”
Then, in November 2020, he further announced on X that Luc joined FedEx as a pilot and said that he was "so proud" of him for beginning a new phase of his life. He wrote:
“So proud of our son, Luc, who turns 30 this week. He’s always been surrounded with a love for aviation. I used to watch airplanes with him at Santa Monica Airport and took him for his first flight when he was just a toddler. Now he’s living his dream as a pilot.”
Eight months before that, in March 2020, Luc became engaged to Alex Cochran, his longtime girlfriend. Both Dave and Melissa were present at the couple's May 2021 wedding.
On the other hand, neither Bring nor Luc have said anything about Dave Coulier’s health condition as of yet.
