They received a call from a guest at the Tennessee Safari Park, stating that he was bitten by a camel. When they reached the park they were shocked to find a very 'suspicious odor' coming from the vehicle of the guest.
Inspection of the vehicle led to the shock arrest of Amy Slaton who was booked on two counts of child endangerment and the illegal possession of Schedule I and Schedule IV substances. Along with her present in the vehicle was a man named Brian Scott Lovvorn. Brian was arrested on the same charges.
However, the Crockett County Sheriff’s Department also made the following statement on Facebook:
"The charges and allegations referenced in this release are merely accusations of criminal conduct and not evidence"
They also noted the following:
"The defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt and convicted through due process of law."
