Get ready to rock with Nothin' But a Good Time: The Uncensored Story of '80s Hair Metal. Paramount+ revealed exclusively that the docuseries will hit the streaming service on Sept. 17.

The three-part docuseries, directed by Jeff Tremaine, is based on Tom Beaujour and Richard Bienstock's book by the same name. The series will dive into the brazen era of 80s hard rock, bringing viewers interviews with some of the main figures from the 80s rock scene, including Poison frontman Bret Michaels, Ratt frontman Stephen Pearcy, Extreme guitarist Nuno Bettencourt, and Skid Row guitarist Dave “Snake” Sabo, among many others.

The Paramount+ documentary series is set to premiere on the Paramount+ streaming platform on September 17, 2024, in the US. It will be released elsewhere on September 18, 2024.

Since this is a Paramount production, it will only be available to stream on the Paramount streaming platform.

Featuring interviews with rock stars who lived at the time and have survived, the series is an ode to the genre and a treat for metal fans. The official synopsis reads as follows:

"Nothin' But a Good Time: The Uncensored Story of '80s Hair Metal delivers a candid behind-the-scenes look at one of music’s most iconic eras. Each episode showcases the insanity and blazing ambition that has enthralled generations of music lovers and continues to influence culture to this day."

Nothin' But a Good Time: The Uncensored Story of '80s Hair Metal is executive produced by Jeff Tremaine and Shanna Newton for Gorilla Flicks, Eric Wattenberg, Scott Lonker, and Will Nothacker for Wheelhouse's Spoke Studios, and Bruce Gillmer and Michael Maniaci for MTV Entertainment Studios. Richard Bienstock and Tom Beaujour serve as co-executive producers.
