Only Murders in the Building season 4 is a mystery comedy-drama series created by Steve Martin and John Hoffman. The show had notable cameo appearances right from its first season, with Tina Fey and Amy Schumer appearing in brief roles. The acclaimed series premiered its first season on August 31, 2021, followed by its second season on June 28, 2022, its third season on August 8, 2023, and the latest and fourth season on August 27, 2024.
The show focuses on a millennial artist Mabel Mora's (Selena Gomez) unlikely friendship with the much older actor Charles-Haden Savage (Steve Martin) and Broadway director Oliver Putnam (Martin Short). Each season, the trio investigates a new murder case that has taken place in The Arconia, their apartment building on the Upper West Side. In turn, they transform their findings into a true-crime podcast

1) Meryl Streep as Loretta Durkin
Meryl Streep reprises her role as Loretta Durkin for Only Murders in the Building season 4. She plays Oliver's love interest who embarks on a successful television career in Los Angeles after being discovered in his musical, Death Rattle.

2) Molly Shannon as Bev Melon
In Only Murders in the Building season 4, the Paramount studio executive Bev Melon is played by Molly Shannon. She meets the trio in hopes of turning their podcast into a Hollywood production.

5) Zach Galifianakis as himself
The comedian and actor Zach Galifianakis stars as himself on the show. He is hired to play Oliver Putnam's part in the abovementioned film adaptation. He gets off to a rocky start with Oliver after the latter fails to recognize him.

Kumail last appeared in Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire which was released on March 22, 2024.
8) Richard Kind as Vince Fish
Richard Kind became popular by starring in sitcoms like Mad About You and Spin City as well as the critically-acclaimed series, Curb Your Enthusiasm. Known as a character actor, he won a Drama Desk award for the Broadway hit The Big Knife. Moreover, he has lent his voice to several Pixar films including A Bug's Life, Cars, Cars 2, Toy Story 3, and Inside Out.
