Outlander season 7 episode 12 saw Lord John Grey taken by the rebels
Lord John Grey may have been saved from Jamie Fraser's beatings in Outlander season 7 episode 12, but his life will soon be put through a wringer in the hands of the rebels. When the patrolling rebels saw Jamie beating John up in the woods, they interrupted them. A man named Corporal Jethro Woodbine asked Jamie who his prisoner was.
When Jamie said that John was his prisoner, one of the rebels remembered John was a soldier, and the rest of the rebels had a problem with that. They want to take John themselves to the rebel camp as their prisoner. Jamie, who wasn't John's biggest fan at that point allowed them to take him.
At the rebel camp, someone told John that General Wayne would hang him because a lot of rebels were killed during a massacre a few days ago. They consider him a spy, and his relationship with General Grey, who carried out the massacre, didn't help his cause. However, John thought he had leverage and made a compromise with a former friend and now a rebel leader, Colonel Smith.
John thought that they had an understanding, but Dr. Denzell, who checked up on John's bruises, said that Smith and Wayne still wanted to hang John. Denzell snuck John a scalpel and then advised him to escape, which he did during the night. At the end of Outlander season 7 episode 12, John escapes into the woods, but soon after, the guards go in search of him. Just as John was running away, someone fired at him just before the episode cuts to black. John's fate hangs in balance.
