Perfect Wife: The Mysterious Disappearance of Sherri Papini is the most-watched docuseries on Hulu
As per Variety, based on information received from the streamers, Perfect Wife: The Mysterious Disappearance of Sherri Papini has dethroned all the other docuseries released on Hulu to become the most watched on the streaming service.
The revelation does not come as much of a surprise, as the audience has been extending their appreciation towards the show ever since it came out. On Rotten Tomatoes, the show currently has a positive rating of 88%, suggesting the viewers' fondness for it. A user writes on the reviewing platform:
"You need to watch ALL the episodes to appreciate how Sheri’s lies came down worse than a ton of bricks on everyone. The FBI investigators did an elaborate job tracing the events from start to finish. Her lying hurt a lot of people. At the end I found it all kind of disturbing. My wife just shops. After seeing this show I won’t complain about the small change she spends anymore."
On IMDb, the show has been rated 7.4 out of 10 stars, which is quite high as per IMDb standards. Among a list of other things, the audience had to say they said that the show was "engrossing" and "interesting."

About Hulu's Perfect Wife: The Mysterious Disappearance of Sherri Papini
On June 20, 2024, Hulu released a three-part docuseries titled Perfect Wife: The Mysterious Disappearance of Sherri Papini chronicling the Sherri Papini kidnapping scam that had shaken the entire world in 2016. In the docuseries, Keith Papini, Sherri's ex-husband, and several other people who were closely associated with the case recounted their versions of the story, highlighting some of the never-heard-before aspects of it.
Besides first-hand recollections of events from these people, the docuseries also contained re-enactments of important incidents that took place during that time. This includes the first time Sherri Papini was reported missing on November 2, 2016, after she had gone jogging and was not found for approximately 20 days.
The docuseries also contains reenactments of Sherri lying to the federal agents and accusing two women of abducting her as a ploy to save herself from cheating allegations. As was later revealed in the case, for all the time Sherri was missing, she had been staying with her then-boyfriend, James Reyes, without her husband's knowledge.

Where is Sherri Papini now?
After Sherri Papini was found responsible for falsification, she was arrested by the FBI. A few weeks after her arrest, Papini pleaded guilty to her crimes, which led to a decrease in her sentence. Her defense attorney also additionally cited mental health issues, which might have played a role in the sentence reduction.
She was sentenced to 18 months in prison and was ordered to pay compensation for the damages she had caused. In August 2023, Sherri was released from prison and shifted to a halfway house.
