Reginald the Vampire season 2 episode 8 is more like a stress buster as the vampires dive into the past and reminisce. Reginald, Maurice, and Sarah, among others, have visions of their past. The episode didn't turn out to be convincing enough to make viewers believe Reginald can take down Balestro and save his comrades.

Stuck in the slushy shack, this episode helps viewers know the characters better and takes a deep dive into their past as they reminisce about the good and bad times. Most of the crew think of Reginald as a hero, and maybe he is. With the clock ticking, Reginald brainstorms free will, which can be used against the angels.

Reginald has a vision of Sarah, in which Sarah and Reginald have a conversation about heaven. Sarah reveals to Reginald that she doesn't believe in heaven.

Later, when Sarah is in the strange white room, she picks up a headset, and the voice in her tells her she is in heaven. Where Sarah landed after Uriel kissed the life out of her becomes the question of the hour and keeps everyone in suspense.

Meanwhile, Maurice also reveals to Reginald that he fed on him in the past, when he was human and made him forget it by compulsion.

Will the Vamps be able to escape the slushy sack?

While Reginald and the team are stuck in the shack, they make multiple attempts to escape but fail. Meanwhile, Todd and Nikki try to get into the shack to reach out to their friends. Towards the end of the episode, they finally make it in as the ceiling breaks and they fall.

What is the new operation Balestro?

The new operation Balestro is based on free will. It strikes Reginald that angels cannot take away the free will of the vamps so they can use it against them. If all the vampires unite for a day, they can beat the divine Balestro. He sends Todd and Ashley to look for Claire as he still believes in Abraham's clue of Claire being the key.

After an episode filled with reminiscing and melancholy, the vampires finally prepare for what's to come.

Reginald getting the motivation and belief that he can defeat Balestro is a positive point for the vampires. With Angela and Maurice to aid with added motivation after Maurice stops herself from staking herself, this war will be interesting and intense.

Where is Sarah?

Sarah finally goes through the gift shop door. Throughout the episode, there are glimpses of Sarah. She even tried to reach Reginald and succeeded for some time. Sarah doesn't believe in heaven, and the voice wants her to be convinced she is already in heaven.

In the episode's final moments, Sarah opens the door and goes to a white light. The white light most probably symbolizes heaven, but to Sarah, heaven is not real.

Conclusion - Unity is strength

With the season finale of Reginald the Vampire knocking at the door, this episode doesn't seem to be convincing enough. Although Reginald brainstorming the fact that he can use free will against the angels is a key moment in the episode and in the war against Balestro, how Claire will come to his aid is still unknown. Claire can be the ultimate weapon to win this war, but Reginald needs to know how and when to use Claire.

Reginald, however, believes unity is the key for all the vampires to defeat the divine. Will his plan be effective? We will find out in episodes to come.
