Season 2 episode 9 of Reginald the Vampire titled The Final Countdown aired on July 3, 2024. The previous episode finished on a not-so-convincing note with Reginald getting motivated and talking about using free will against Balestro but not having a plan to combat him.
The latest episode of Reginald the Vampire starts with Sarah not entering through the gift shop door and later shifts to Reginald and the other vamps who are waiting for the impending doom which can arrive any moment. The episode ends on a happier note as Reginald and Claire save the day. This buys the vamps a lot more time and also makes them Balestro-free.

Reginald the Vampire season 2 episode 9 begins with Sarah not entering through that gift shop door. Meanwhile, Reginald and his comrades are seen under the open sky talking about ways of defeating Balestro.
Reginald hopes to find a loophole to defeat Balestro. While the others are not happy with Reginald not having a plan, Reginald waits for Claire and still believes in Abraham's clue of Claire being the key. Meanwhile, Penelope and LeBron arrive at the scene, following the so-called angle GPS, and beg Reginald to save them.
Balestro arrives
Next, Balestro the almighty arrives and tells everyone that Reginald doesn’t have a plan. We also get to know that vampires are arriving all over the world and soon a heavenly fire will come and consume all of their kind. Reginald tries to negotiate with Balestro for more time.
The Day Court
Reginald and his comrades go to the day court after he negotiates with Balestro. There, Reginald defends the vampires, praising himself as a no-harm, do-good vampire. He uses Maurice to show how vampires help and save humans, despite being supposed to feed on them.
However, the other vampires Reginald calls upon don't help, as Balestro reads their minds and exposes their lies. Reginald and Maurice then argue that not all angels are superior, citing Uriel, who killed many to satisfy his ego. Balestro dismisses Uriel as flawed and refuses to discuss further.
After the recess
The scene shifts to Sarah and Mike meeting at the same blue art gallery and talking about how heaven does not feel like heaven. Mike asks about Todd to Sarah. As soon as Mike starts thinking about Todd to resume his sadness and reminiscing, Sarah tries to switch topics.
Later Sarah tells Mike how she wants to help Reginald and his friend, to which Mike agrees. After the recess, Balestro comes and calls the vampire reasoning bulls*hit. He calls all the vampires guilty and tells them how they will face their judgment and die.
Surprise Surprise!
Abraham arrives and talks to Balestro, however, the conversation soon turns into a fight. Both of them are soon ready to engage in combat by taking their flaming blades out. Reginald being Reginald, calms them down after which Balestro moves them back indoors for further conversation.
Reginald tries to play the therapist
Balestro and Abraham let Reginald play therapist while the son-father duo talked about family issues. However, Angela soon tries to stake Abraham but fails with Balestro stopping time and getting rid of the spoony stake. Later, Abraham sides with the vampires, and Balestro tells him that even he will die alongside them.
Claire arrives and tries to save the DAY
Claire finally arrives to save the day and faces Balestro. It is now revealed that Clarie is the daughter of an incubus and a human. Claire can predict the future which Balestro cannot. She tries to predict the future as she faces Balestro and pretends in the beginning till her nose starts to bleed.
Soon, Balestro gets to know from Claire's prophecy that the vamps will kill each other in an upcoming war and how Reginald must die to save them all from doom.
Relief for now
After the prophecy, Balestro returns to heaven as he knows that his job will be done by the vamps themselves. The vampires are safe for now and Abraham tries to cheer them up as they have a lot more time to save their self-destruction. However, Reginald finds himself again in the slushy shack with Balestro. Balestro tells him to catch his hand and gives him a power, that Reginald doesn't know about yet.
Reginald wakes up at the party once again but does not find out what Balestro’s parting gift is.
The last goodbyes
Maurice and Angela talk about survival while they sit by the lake in the rain.
The focus soon shifts to Sarah and Mike who now know that Reginald has saved the vampire kind. Mike talks about going through the gift shop door now and chooses to pass to the other dimension, while he doesn’t encourage Sarah to do the same as her life was cut short.
Altus says his last goodbyes to Claire. Meanwhile, Reginald and Maurice engage in a conversation and it is revealed that Reginald is not worried about his death. He plans to make Uriel pay for killing Sarah. Reginald tells Maurice how he will torture Uriel and then kill him. Sounds like a good plan!
