Season two of Reginald the Vampire ended its ten-episode run on July 10, 2024. The finale disappointed fans as Reginald forgave Uriel, avoiding a divine-vampire showdown. Most of the season focused on Balestro's plan to eradicate vampires. Still, he withdrew the threat after hearing Claire's prophecy that the vampires would eventually kill themselves, allowing him to stay uninvolved.
While Syfy announced that they would not renew the show for a third season. The reason may be the drop in viewership. However, the second season ended on a mysterious note with more questions than answers.

Why was Reginald the Vampire Season 3 canceled?
Syfy canceled Reginald the Vampire season 3 in July 2024, a week after season two of the show finished airing.
The first season of Reginald the Vampire was a chartbuster, however, the second season did not live the hype and there was a drop in viewership too, which might have convinced the showrunners to not make a third season. The show was also canceled because of shifting priorities and programming changes, as reported by The Economic Times.
Reginald the Vampire was based on the 2012 humorous-fiction book Fat Vampire by Johnny B. Truant. The show was created by Harley Peyton for Syfy. It starred Jacob Batalon as Reginald Baskin, Savannah Basley as Angela, and Emily Haine as Sarah among others. The show holds an IMDb rating of 5.9/10 currently.
Why is there a need for Reginald the Vampire season 3?
1) The fate of the vamps remains a mystery
The vamps were safe from the divine Balestro threat that loomed over them in the second season after Claire saved the day with her prophecy. However, we do not know when the damnation war will come, in which the vamps will be killing each other.
Also according to Claire, Reginald will have to sacrifice himself. As of the last episode, Reginald was stuck in a place-between-places with Sarah. Fans would have liked Reginald and Sarah to return to the mortal plane in season three of Reginald the Vampire, which now stands canceled.
2) Sarah's fate
In the last episode of season 2 of Reginald the Vampire, Sarah and Reginald were still chatting with the wish-granting toaster. While Sarah imagined herself as a vampire for the first time, we do not know how she would return to the mortal plane. Would Sarah and Reginald swap lives was the question ultimate question, viewers would have wanted an answer to in the third season.
3) The show was heading towards a mystical and twisty finish
If Sarah had to return as a vampire in season three, fans would have expected something similar to The Vampire Diaries (2009-2017) ~ a Silas-like cure could have cured Sarah even if she had to become a vampire. However, the fate of Reginald and Sarah will remain to be a mystery.
The second season created hype for an angel vampire war, which later was declared to be a self-vampire, which had also kept fans of the show waiting. Reginald, who learned about his time-stopping superpower in the season two finale could have used this superpower to save himself and his comrades from Claire's prophesied doom.
Fans will now have to give up on their hopes of finding answers, though, since Syfy's decision to cancel the third season leaves more questions than answers at the end of season two.
