S.W.A.T. season 8 is an acclaimed police procedural drama that premiered on CBS on October 18, 2024. The series aired its first season on November 2, 2017, and was renewed for an eighth season in April 2024. It is based on the 1975 series and the 2003 film adaptation of the same name.

The first episode of S.W.A.T. season 8 premiered on CBS on October 18, 2024, at 8 pm ET. The subsequent episodes will air every Friday at the same time. The show's season 8 consists of 22 episodes, with each episode having a runtime of 60 minutes.

Cast and characters of S.W.A.T. season 8
S.W.A.T. season 8 follows Shemar Moore as the SWAT team leader, Sergeant Daniel 'Hondo' Harrelson. Jay Harrington plays his second-in-command, Sergeant David 'Deacon' Kay.
Other cast members include David Lim as Victor Tan, Anna Enger Ritch as Zoe Powell, and Brigitte Kali Canales as Alexis Cabrera. Annie Ilonzeh joins the show as the newly recruited member, Devin Gamble.
Patrick St. Esprit plays the SWAT team's commander, Robert Hicks. Niko Pepaj, who is promoted to series regular this season, plays Miguel Alfaro. Lastly, Rochelle Aytes, who plays Hondo's wife, Nichelle Carmichael, appears in a recurring role in the latest season of the show.
