All nine episodes of the historical drama limited series Say Nothing were released on FX on Hulu (United States) and Disney Plus (United Kingdom, Ireland, and Canada) on November 14, 2024. The series was based on a 2018 book by Patrick Radden Keefe, titled Say Nothing: A True Story of Murder and Memory in Northern Ireland.

It explores the lives of individuals living in Belfast during the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s against the backdrop of the Troubles (an ethno-nationalist conflict in Northern Ireland that persisted for nearly three decades).

Say Nothing comprised a cast of talented actors who breathed life into the characters they played. Some of them include Lola Petticrew, who played the role of Dolours Price, and Maxine Peake, who played an adult version of the character.

1) Lola Petticrew as Dolours Price

Lola Petticrew plays the main protagonist, Dolours Price, in Say Nothing. The character is one of the early female members of the Irish Republican Army and is described as "impetuous and charismatic, a political radical, propelled by the fierce certainty of youth." She is also referred to as "a thoughtful, sensitive art student who becomes a violent paramilitary.".

The audience may know Lola Petticrew from projects like Come Home (2018), Here Are the Young Men (2020), and She Said (2022).

2) Maxine Peake as an older Dolours Price

Maxine Peake plays an older version of Dolours Price, who is forced to live under irreparable circumstances following years of violence in the Northern Ireland region.

Maxine Peake is a BAFTA TV Award nominee who is best known for being part of projects such as Shameless (2004-2007), Hancock & Joan (2009), and The Secret Diaries of Miss Anne Lister (2010).

3) Hazel Doupe as Marian Price

Hazel Doupe plays Marian Price, Dolours' younger sister, in Say Nothing. Marian seems to follow her sister's footsteps in everything; however, something unique about her personality sets her apart from her elder sister.

4) Anthony Boyle as Brendan Hughes

Anthony Boyle plays Brendan Hughes in the show. He is positioned higher up in the Irish Republican Army ladder, which puts him in a position of influence. However, he is often fearful of the consequences of his job. He is also regularly torn between his loyalty to his friends and his trust in the mission.

Anthony Boyle is best known for being part of projects such as Tolkien (2019), The Plot Against America (2020), and Tetris (2023).
