SEAL Team Season 7 Episode 6, titled, Hundred-Year Marathon, released on Paramount+ on September 8, 2024. The latest episode of the military flick brings a new dynamic to the Bravo Team as Master Chief Jason Hayes leaves in the middle of the operation.

Previously on SEAL Team Season 7, Bravo had a verbal sparring between them in the middle of a mission because of differing opinions. Sonny and Omar want to protect their op subjects from torture but Jason is only focused on getting intel and protecting the rest of the team.

In the end, they reached an agreement and did what they did best—finish the mission successfully. However, Jason got a call about her son Mikey's injury and surgery and decided that he wanted to go back home. With Bravo now without their team leader, SEAL Team Season 7 Episode 6 teases a new dynamic within the team that will test their skills and trust in each other. Ray assumes the team leader role while Omar leads the team during an operation.

Ray's in charge with Bravo, but he's pulled into diplomatic negotiations

After Jason leaves for the US in SEAL Team Season 7 Episode 5, Ray takes the OIC role. It means he's going to take over Jason's team-leading role, and that also includes negotiations in Episode 6.

Bravo's new task brings them to Cambodia and much closer contact with their target, Jun Yilin, who they have been following in the past couple of missions. They have new intel on where Yilin is for the next couple of days, and all they have to do is capture him. But there's a catch—they can't extradite him yet because the US doesn't have an extradition treaty with Cambodia. It means they can grab him but can't take him anywhere outside the country.

However, during the briefing, Davis is still working on how they can bring Yilin to Thailand, where they are currently based. Meanwhile, DEA Agent Miles says that it might help fast-track the extradition request at the Thai attorney general's office if she has one of the SEAL Team with her.

So, with Ray as the OIC, he is forced to go with Agent Miles to negotiate the extradition request. Meanwhile, as they wait for the approval, the rest of Bravo is working on grabbing Jun Yilin and getting in the crossfire with another hit team that wants to grab the notorious Chinese businessman. Hearing the team's nearly jeopardized op on the comms, Ray is visibly upset about not being with them on the ground.

At one point in SEAL Team Season 7 Episode 6, he argues with Agent Miles for jeopardizing the team's safety by taking him away from the team. However, he's not completely useless as he continues to help the Bravo Team by sending them a location for a safe house and a vehicle they can use to bring Yilin to Thailand.

Bravo adjusts to a new dynamic during their mission in Seal Team Season 7 Episode 6

While Ray is stuck waiting for the extradition approval throughout SEAL Team Season 7 Episode 6, Bravo is on the snatch-and-grab mission of Jun Yilin. Sonny, Omar, and Drew are in the lobby, just waiting for the perfect moment to capture Yilin. Meanwhile, Trent is on the lookout at the exit and is ready as their getaway driver.

Meanwhile, the trio senses another hit team trying to get to Yilin before they can, and their first scuffle on who gets to lead the op starts. Sonny and Drew want to grab the businessman quickly before it's too late, but Omar, who is currently Bravo 2, wants time to think of a better strategy. As Yilin starts to move, Sonny and Drew pressure Omar to make the call, which he does with reservation.

In the end, they manage to snatch Yilin from the bathroom with minimal interference from his cronies. They successfully bring him to the exit and in the car where Trent is waiting, but as they drive off, they notice the car of the other suspected hit team. The team is driving away in two cars, but a few blocks away from where they captured Yilin, a black SUV hit one of their vehicles. It brought the Bravo Team in the middle of a gunfight.

Unsure where they can go and stay safe as they wait for the extradition papers to get approved, Ray sends them the location of a safe house where they can get away from the heat at the moment. Once there, they prep the old and dusty safe house, but there's still tension in the team. While Omar is supposedly in charge, he's yet to establish his leadership. Meanwhile, the rest are working on each of their parts like it's free-for-all, except for Trent.

Despite the unclear rank and leadership within Bravo in SEAL Team Season 7 Episode 6, they still manage to work as a team and get out of the gunfight unscathed. And in the end, once everyone is safe in Thailand, Omar gets a nod from the rest of the Bravo for making the right calls.

What happened to Jason while stateside?

While the rest of the Bravo Team members continue their mission in Southeast Asia in SEAL Team Season 7 Episode 6, Jason is on a different mission while stateside. He's supporting his son Mikey after his ACL surgery to the point that times when he's supposed to take his pain pills to avoid getting him hooked to the medication.

However, when he returns to the house after getting some groceries, he finds Mikey passed out on the bed with puke all over him. He's unresponsive, and the disoriented Jason calls 911. When the paramedics arrive, Mikey is still unconscious, and when they confirm that he's on medication, they give him Narcan, believing that the incident could be an overdose.

Meanwhile, Jason, who believes that there is no way Mikey could have gotten an overdose, keeps telling the paramedics that "it's not an overdose." At the hospital, Jason discovers something about his son—doctors found tranq, a street drug "made of fentanyl mixed with xylazine," in his system. It was why the Narcan didn't work on his system.

While he's now stable, Jason faces more family issues and secrets than he initially thought. And with the recent discovery about Mikey using drugs, Jason is unlikely to go back to Bravo. On the other hand, because their current mission is fentanyl precursor-related, the ingredient used to make the same kind of drug that could have killed Mikey, he might be more determined to finish the mission than ever.

More on Jason's next plans will be unveiled in the coming episode of SEAL Team Season 7.
