SEAL Team Season 7 Episode 7, titled "Mission Creep," released on Paramount+ on September 15, 2024. The newest episode brings the Bravo Team's personal life drama to the forefront, further complicating their already high-stakes mission.
Previously on the military flick, Bravo went on a mission in Cambodia but without Master Chief Jason Hayes, their Bravo 1. Ray wasn't with the team on the ground either, leaving Sonny, Omar, Drew, and Trent to their own devices. It wasn't a smooth sailing mission, however, as Bravo adjusts to a new team dynamic and a possibly new team leader.
But after their mission of bringing Jun Yilin to Thailand, Command gets new intel about the tagged barrels of fentanyl precursor from Seal Team Season 7 Episode 3. They are set for Honduras for a joint SOCOM-CIA mission to prove the Chinese-Nazario connection. However, past demons continue to creep on the Bravo Team members as they prepare for their new mission.

Jason Hayes is back with Bravo in time for their Honduras mission
Jason Hayes, aka Bravo 1, being missing in Bravo's mission in Cambodia, as seen in Seal Team Season 7 Episode 6, was greatly felt by the entire team. Without him, Ray felt like it was his mission to protect the rest of Bravo. But with him also stuck negotiating for Yilin's extradition request in the previous episode, he felt like he failed Bravo and left them vulnerable.
Meanwhile, the rest of Bravo adjusted to a new dynamic during a snatch-and-grab mission that turned into an ambush. As for Jason, he was dealing with family issues with Mikey's surgery and his subsequent overdose while stateside.
In the latest episode, the Bravo SEAL Team reunites on US soil after their successful mission of bringing Jun Yilin to Thailand and the DEA. But as they await their next mission, Jason's past slowly creeps up on him. His traumatic brain injury (TBI) is acting up, and Mikey's overdose isn't helping. At one point, he remembers a previous mission where he made his first kill.
Much of the episode brings a closer look at Jason's personal struggle and his TBI. He blames himself for Mikey's OD, and he wants to find the guy responsible for supplying the drug that could have killed his son. At one point, he argues with Mandy about the fact that he can't balance his work and his family. He thinks that he belongs with Bravo, not at home with Mandy and his kids, and that his identity is tied to the Navy SEAL Team.
The same reasoning creeps up when Commander Blackburn and Captain Walch offer him a new position. They want to head the new TBI project that he is so passionate about. However, Jason, who previously offered his trident fighting for the cause, was less enthusiastic about the idea. He tells Blackburn and Walch that "carrying a rifle" is how he makes his impact.
In the end, Jason decides to return and join Bravo for their next mission in La Ceiba, Honduras. Despite the episode titled "Mission Creep," there wasn't a lot of mission and action in Seal Team Season 7 Episode 7. That said, Bravo is seen on several missions to uncover incriminating evidence that will prove the Chinese connection to Ramon Nazario, a former Honduran Special Forces colonel.
However, after several operations, they come out empty-handed. In their last op in Episode 7, they find stacks of cash hidden on the wooden walls after Jason smashed it with his rifle in anger because they couldn't find any evidence. In the end, the last mission proves successful as they burn all the cash found, and they also place two hidden cameras and a cellphone sniffer in case anyone shows up in the building.

Why was Drew almost late during Bravo's flight to Honduras?
Shortly before the rest of the Bravo Team flies to Honduras in SEAL Team Season 7 Episode 7 for their joint SOCOM-CIA mission, Sonny and Omar are whispering about who between them should tell Jason that they lost Drew. Sonny tells Omar that because he wants to be the 2IC, he should be the one telling Jason. Meanwhile, Omar tells him that Jason already associates Sonny with disappointment, so he should tell him the bad news.
In the end, they agreed that Sonny would talk to Jason, but Omar should be "going first through every d*mn door we hit" in their next op. But when Sonny is about to tell Jason about Drew being missing, the latter turns up.
But before any of that happened, Sonny and Omar visited Drew in his "house on wheels," where they found him drinking. Omar also saw a bottle of painkillers on the table, making them think that the new Bravo 6 was dealing with something. Understandably, they each gave some advice to Drew to get him out of his funk, with Omar revealing that he lost his son because of the same mistake he made before.
Both Sonny and Omar also accuse Drew of self-sabotaging and taking himself off the team so the team can't be taken from him, like what happened with Echo, as revealed in Seal Team Season 7 Episode 5. It's unsure whether Sonny and Omar's tough love for Drew was the turning point, but he did arrive as Bravo takes their flight to their mission in Honduras.
Did Ray and Sonny fight over Ben in SEAL Team Season 7 Episode 7?
One of the tense scenes in Seal Team Season 7 Episode 7 wasn't a high-stakes mission or Bravo getting stuck in a gunfight. Instead, it was a reunion between Ray, Sonny, and Ben at Spencer House.
Throughout Season 7 of SEAL Team, Ray still hasn't gotten over Clay's death. While the loss of their previous Bravo 6 affected the entire team, it was Ray who remains close to Clay's legacy through Spencer House. For the unversed, Clay saves Ben from killing himself in Season 6, but when a security guard finds Clay holding Ben's gun, he shoots him in the chest.
Clay's death was an accident and a misunderstanding, and Sonny understands that. However, Ray hasn't moved on from Ben's hand in Clay's eventual death. So, in Episode 7 of SEAL Team Season 7, when Sonny brings Ben to Spencer House, where he can get the help he needs, Ray lashes out. He doesn't think that Ben should return to Spencer House, saying that he should "know better" than to return there.
While Ray and Sonny don't exactly fight about Ben going to Spencer House, Sonny is disappointed with Ray's action and about him chasing the other veteran away. However, the two did talk during their flight to Honduras in SEAL Team Season 7 Episode 7. Ray tells Sonny "sorry" that he got ugly with Ben, and Sonny tells him that he's allowed "a stumble or two" and that he's going to have many chances of helping people like Ben.
