The Bravo Team is back for more explosive action on their two-episode return in SEAL Team Season 7 premiere on Sunday, August 11.

A lot is riding in the first two episodes of the new season of the military drama series, which comes around two years after the previous season ended. It also marks the last of the few chapters of the favorite Navy SEALs on the small screen.

Moreover, the final events of Season 6, with Jason Hayes (played by David Boreanaz) going public about his Traumatic Brain Injury, has left the Bravo Team's future up in the air.

According to the SEAL Team Season 7 plot synopsis, the Bravo Team is forced to take the sidelines after they took the stand for better warfight health against the command, which happened in the previous season.

In SEAL Team Season 7, they are shipped off to Sweden on an underwhelming assignment. But, true to episodes 1 and 2's title, "Chaos in the Calm" Part 1 and 2, the Bravo Team finds chaos in the form of a terrorist attack on what should be a boring shore leave in Sweden.

What happened to Jason Hayes and the Bravo Team in Sweden?

In SEAL Team Season 7, Bravo is on shore duty. They were shipped off to Sweden on what was initially perceived as a low-key mission.

However, while they were in Sweden, supposedly laying low (compared to the high-stakes missions they had before), an explosion changed everything. There was a car bomb that went off at a shopping mall, leaving countless people dead and injured. And because they were on the field, Jason ordered Bravo to help as many of the victims as they could.

In the Paramout+ show, the Bravo's job was to assist anyone who needed help until police arrived on the scene. However, only two police officers came, and they refused to enter the mall, knowing that several gunmen were inside and killing innocent civilians.

So, despite the lack of weapons and other resources, the Bravo Team surged to the scene and tried to track the shooters inside the mall. There, Jason came face-to-face with one of the shooters, leading to a bloody hand-to-hand combat. He eventually killed the terrorist using a knife to the neck, leaving the man bleeding to death on the floor.

Another of the terrorists arrived on the scene who looked like he was about to kill the Bravo's leader, who, at the time, was shaken after he stabbed the other terrorist. Fortunately for him, Drew (played by Beau Knapp), the new addition to the team, shot the terrorist and saved Jason's life.

Why is the Bravo Team in Sweden in SEAL Team Season 7 in the first place?

SEAL Team Season 7's two-episode premiere opens with a flashback of the tense and chaotic combat scene from the previous season.

Master Chief Jason Hayes and the SEAL Bravo Team deal with the aftermath of an IED explosion. Fast forward to Jason getting an award with the Navy Cross, where he reveals his hidden struggle with TBI and guilt over Clay Spenser (played by Max Thieriot)'s death.

After Jason's very public revelation, Command was understandably upset and was feeling blindsided to the point that they told him that they had to "stand him down," saying:

"The issue, Master Chief, isn't just operating with a serious injury. You embarrassed Command and the Navy."

However, it didn't end there, as in the true form of solitary, the rest of the Bravo Team followed their leader's admission and opened up about the problems they faced throughout their careers, Ray Perry's (played by Neil Brown Jr.) PTSD, Sonny Quinn (played by AJ Buckley)'s ringing in his ears, and more.

After all that chaos, Bravo was put on shore duty in the seventh season. In episode 1 of SEAL Team Season 7, the team is seen doing their own things while at home or doing manual work. Ray tries to work with Command for officers to have better health and mental care, while Sonny is left cleaning dog poop.

After all, they have been sidelined and are not on active duty after Command believed that they are not a functional team anymore. It was only with Commander Blackburn (played by Judd Lormand)'s help that they were back to work.

The team was called by Blackburn for a new assignment — foreign internal development. They are going to Sweden for a month to work with the Swedish SOG, to which Petty Officer Omar Hamza (played by Raffi Barsoumian) said:

"We're getting pulled off the bench to train tomorrow's enemies today?"

Does the Bravo Team have a new member?

When the Bravo 1 SEAL Team was briefed for their new assignment in Sweden in a conference room, Blackburn told that they were still waiting for someone, who came in a uniform and was known by some members of the team. According to Sonny, he's :

"Drew Franklin — thought he was an urban legend. The phony hero of Tier One tall tales."

Drew joins the SEAL Team cast in season 7, but his character and background are a mystery, although snippets about who he's were teased throughout the 2-episode premiere.

When the Bravo Team talked about him after the assignment briefing, Sonny mentioned that the team being lumped in with Drew only meant one thing — Bravo is still considered "a bunch of misfit toys."

Omar also mentioned Drew being the guy who "got clipped for cheating on a sniper contest," to which Sonny agreed and noted that the guy didn't lose his trident for what he did.

Drew's sister also appeared in SEAL Team Season 7 Episode 2, who told him, that their family "needs us to circle the wagons." When Drew told his sister that he wasn't doing any family favors, she reminded him that icing her out, including their dad, could put his reputation on the line.

All these snippets about Drew in the SEAL Team Season 7 premiere only add to the mystery of his character.
