What to expect from Severance season 2 episode 2?

The premiere episode of season 2 ended with the group - Mark, Helly, Irving, and Dylan - back to work at Lumon. They will undoubtedly continue their quest for answers in the upcoming episodes of the sci-fi series.

Mark will also look for Gemma/Ms. Casey, who was missing from the previous episode. Furthermore, her wellness center department was completely refurbished, hinting that Ms. Casey may not return to Lumon Industries anytime soon.

Going by the episode's title, Mrs. Selvig/Harmony Cobel will likely play a prominent role in the upcoming episode. Since she was also missing from Severance season 2 episode 1, fans may learn what she's been up to since the events of the overtime contingency, five months ago.

Cobel was the one to realize that Mark had overridden the severance protocol and alerted Milchick in the season 1 finale episode. When Milchick took over her job as manager of the severed floor, he blamed her for all the bad things done to the group. Moreover, Cobel was spying on Mark (as his neighbor Mrs. Selvig) on behalf of the company. What she does next may prove crucial in the fight between Lumon and its employees.

As Cobel began questioning her loyalty to the company's founders in Severance season 1, she may very well decide to turn against Lumon. Cobel may team up with Mark and his colleagues to expose the company's misdeeds as she knows "where the bodies are buried."

In the last episode, Milchick tries to test Dylan's loyalty towards his friends by asking him to keep a secret from them. Although Dylan complied at the moment, he may find himself deciding it's not worth it.

Furthermore, Helly's predicament is possibly the worst of the group as she is revealed to be the daughter of the company's current CEO, Jame Eagan, and will likely succeed him as the next CEO of Lumon. She hid this crucial information from her friends as she was unsure of how they would respond. But with time, she may have to decide where her loyalties lie as her outie is dedicated to the company, while the innie Helly is dead set against it.

Lastly, the first episode of season 2 took place entirely within the confines of the office. The second episode may showcase the outies and reveal how the overtime contingency impacted them, if at all.

Stay tuned for the detailed recap of Severance season 2 episode 2 soon after it arrives on Apple TV+.
