Simone Biles Rising, a video diary of the famed gymnast as she prepares to fight for her comeback to the 2024 Paris Olympics, is set to hit Netflix shelves on July 17.
Directed by Katie Walsh, the upcoming docuseries is set to add a deeper insight into Biles' life after she released her book, titled Courage to Soar. The Olympic gymnast said this about her docuseries in a statement to Netflix:
"We are all the authors of our own journeys, and I am in a place in my life where I'm comfortable with who I am and what I've been through as an athlete, but most of all, as a person."
It further reads:
"Gymnastics is what I do, but it's not who I am, and I'm excited for people to see another side of me outside of competition."
The Netflix Sports series stars Simone Biles herself, and the people from her inside and outside the competition. It will feature her husband, Jonathan Owens, as well as her fellow gymnasts, like Aly Raisman.
