Smiling Friends season 2 complete release schedule: All episodes and when they arrive

Returning with the surreal adventures of Allan, Charlie, Glep, and Pim, under the tutelage of Mr. Boss, Smiling Friends season 2 is all set with a hilarious new installment. Given the massive success the bizarre animated comedy garnered in the first season, Adult Swim renewed the show for a sequel alongside Birdgirl, the spinoff of the Harvey Birdman franchise, on February 9, 2022.

Before the sequel’s arrival, as Hadel announced on his Twitter/X handle, a special was released, titled The Smiling Friends Go to Brazil!, which was later confirmed at Adult Swim’s San Diego Comic Con panel. The special debuted on August 6, 2022, and the plot was all about the gang taking some time off to enjoy a vacation at a beautiful beach town in Brazil.

Smiling Friends season 2 was released on April 1, 2024, continuing the series’ tradition of debuting on April Fool’s Day.

The bizarre yet quirky release date aligns perfectly with the show’s absurd humor and playful spirit, offering fans more delightful surprises ahead. Unlike the first season, the sequel is slated for an eight-episode run from April 1 to June 24, 2024.
