The story so far in Special Ops: Lioness Season 2
Special Ops: Lioness season 2 begins with the kidnapping of Congresswoman Hernandez by a Mexican cartel. Joe and her team are assigned to handle the cse, with their goal being to bring the Congresswoman to safety and gather intel about their opponents. Joe brings Hernandez back to US soil by the end of episode 1 of the second season.
In episode 2 of the premiere, the team discussed methods to take down the Mexican cartel from the inside. They deliberated over the need to recruit a new Lioness, and finalised on Josephina.
She was a US military field soldier stationed in Iraq but had distant familial ties to the cartel. Joe was sent to Iraq to discharge her from service and bring her on board for the ops team with a cover intact.
Josephina was initially reluctant to join the Lioness team, even on Joe's insistence. She believed that she didn't have the training or tools to become a high-level operative. Moreover, she was more inclined towards field work. However, Jpe debated with her over her options and convinced her to become the new Lioness.
