What happens in Star Wars: Skeleton Crew episode 7?
The parents send a message outside the barrier
Star Wars: Skeleton Crew episode 7 begins with the parents meeting in the woods in the middle of the night and sending out a message outside the barrier. They have a small device with them that will help relay the message they want to send to their kids. However, since they are violating the protocols of At Attin, the robots surround them and ask them to surrender themselves.
At the same time, the parents pick up the device and start running only for the authorities to shoot stun rounds at them. Fara makes it out safely and activates the device sending it into space. However, the parents are arrested and detained for violating At Attin's security protocols.
The kids make it back to At Attin
Following their escape from Lanupa, the kids make it back to At Attin. However, their ship is detained by the pirates who are just outside of the planet's storm barrier. Jod convinces Brutus to spare him as he believes that the Onyx Cinder is the key to getting into At Attin. So, when the ship is detained, Brutus threatens the kids to come down only for them to activate the ship's claw and trap him.
But, Jod sees an opportunity and kills Brutus in the moment. He then becomes the leader of the pirates in Star Wars: Skeleton Crew episode 7. Taking the children into his custody, he plans on using the Cinder to penetrate At Atting's storm-ridden barrier. At the same time, the parents' message for the kids breaches the barrier and they reveal that to get into At Attin they need a republic emissary.
Since the Onyx Cinder itself is a republic emissary, the kids then try taking away the ship from Jod. Fern uses the code of "claimsies" to convince SM-33 to make her the captain since it was them who found the ship first and he respects the code. SM-33 then throws Jod out of the ship alongside the rest of the pirates and activates the Onyx Cinder to take the kids back home.
Jod makes it to At Attin as well
However, while the kids make it past At Attin's barrier in Star Wars: Skeleton Crew episode 7, Jod reveals that he was able to get on the ship again before they escaped. When SM-33 goes to attack him, Jod reveals his lightsaber and kills him. He then takes the children back into his custody and threatens to kill them if they step out of line.
Pretending to be a republic emissary himself, Jod is then welcomed into At Attin. Since he is pretending to be a republican emissary, he is taken into the vaults of At Attin where the planet's treasure is kept. At the same time, the kids are reunited with their parents as well who are happy to see them.
However, Jod keeps asking the robots on At Attin to open the planet's communications since he needs to contact his ship - but they keep denying his request. Star Wars: Skeleton Crew episode 7 ends with Jod igniting his lightsaber and walking towards the children and his parents. Therefore, by the looks of it, the finale of the show will pick up from this exact point.
