The fifth episode of Superman & Lois season 4 premiered on The CW Network on October 28, 2024. The episode focused more on Lex Luthor and his relationship with his daughter, Elizabeth Luthor. Lex Luthor also knows about Superman's return, with the world learning of it. Lois ensures he doesn't send Doomsday after Clark again, seeking his daughter's help to reason with him.
Episode 5 sets up Superman & Lois season 4 episode 6 in a huge way. The episode not only sees Lex Luthor lose his daughter's love after he can't let go of his hate, but he also ends up losing Doomsday. With so much going on in the Tyler Hoechlin-starrer show, fans can anticipate a lot going down as the final season enters its second half.
Going into episode 6 of the fourth season, fans can expect a much more ruthless Luthor with nothing to lose. Aside from that, fans can also expect to see more of Clark's health struggles and exactly where Doomsday went.

A ruthless Lex Luthor
In Superman & Lois season 4, episode 5, Lex Luthor was reunited with his daughter Elizabeth Luthor. To ensure Lex doesn't send Doomsday after Clark, Lois seeks out his daughter so she can reason with him. While Elizabeth didn't want to be found originally, she still agreed to help Lois and met up with her father.
The two share a heartfelt moment, where Elizabeth reveals she is pregnant. She then tells Lex he must let go of his hate for Lois Lane if he wants to be in her and her child's life. But Lex can't do so, leading to Elizabeth bidding him goodbye forever. Aside from that, Lex also learns that Doomsday is no longer under his control now.
With Lex having nothing to lose, he will certainly stop at no cost to ensure he can get his revenge on Lois Lane. He will be more desperate to execute his plans, which certainly doesn't spell well for our heroes. In the teaser for Superman & Lois season 4, fans can also see Lex don the Steel armor, so it is a possibility that he may take on Superman himself, too.
What happened to Doomsday?
The other question fans can expect to be answered is what happened to Doomsday. In Superman & Lois season 4, episode 5, Lois Lane calls upon Doomsday. Knowing that Bizarro is inside of him, she pleads with him to leave her family alone as she knows that he had one as well that was taken away from him.
Being able to empathize with her, Doomsday then leaves. But what happens with him is unknown as he flies into the thin air. So, fans may get to see him return in future episodes.
Clark's health struggles
Superman & Lois season 4 episode 4 sets up Clark having health struggles. After returning from the dead, Clark learns that he isn't at 100% after he takes a bad fall when training Jonathan. This is due to General Sam Lane's heart being inside of him.
With this already set up as a major plot point, fans can expect to see this in future episodes. Considering it wasn't referenced much in episode 5, it might be featured in episode 6.
