Sunny episode 10 will be released on September 4, 2024, on Apple TV+. The official synopsis of the upcoming episode, titled The Dark Manual, reads:
“Season finale. After learning the truth, Suzie fights for what matters most.”
Episode 9 of the series ends on a shocking and sad note, as the titular homebot, Sunny, wipes her memory clean. This plot element, no doubt, will exert a strong influence on the season finale.
As the synopsis suggests, Suzie, mostly absent in episode 9, will be back in action in the upcoming and last episode of this Apple TV and A24 series. Further, the mystery of The Dark Manual, already addressed in episode 9, will also feature in Sunny episode 10.

Sunny episode 10: What to expect?
The closing scene of episode 9 shows that Sunny wipes her memory clean as she realizes that, like the other homebots, she too has traces of The Dark Manual inside her, and this makes her prone to emotional outbursts at times.
Sunny realizes that her love for Suzie is taking on an obsessive turn and pushing her towards violent tendencies. To protect Suzie from her own frantic love for her, Sunny volunteers to wipe out her memory.
This will have consequences in Sunny episode 10. So far, Suzie has been banking on utilizing Sunny’s memory to find Masa. With Sunny’s memory completely gone, it will affect Suzie’s quest.
Further, Zen is already found in episode 8. However, no news of Masa is yet available. Is he alive or has something bad happened to him? Has the yakuza found him and kept him confined? These are some of the questions the season finale might answer.
Season 9 clears up some of the mysteries surrounding The Dark Manual. The Manual is a file that Masa created to safely store those elements of the homebots that make them emotionally violent. However, Tanaka betrayed Masa by putting the Manual back into the bots.
Since her introduction in Sunny, Hime’s mission has been to find and lay her hands upon The Dark Manual to ease her rise within the yakuza. Hime has serially harassed Suzie, believing she, Masa’s wife, would know where the Manual could be.
Sunny episode 10 might finally draw the curtains over Hime’s cat-and-mouse mission. The synopsis does suggest that Suzie might stand up and prove to be a potent obstacle in Hime’s path and foil her diabolical plans.
Most importantly, the upcoming episode will have to answer the questions surrounding Masa's absence. It's unclear whether Suzie, Masa, and Zen have a heartfelt family reunion, but Sunny, the eponymous homebot, will undoubtedly play a role in whatever Suzie's fate turns out to be.
