Superman & Lois season 4 premiered its first two episodes on Monday, October 7, 2024, on The CW Network, and the show picked up right from the events of season 3's cliffhanger. The premier saw Superman and Doomsday battle it out in space, while back on Earth - Lois, Jordan, and Jonathan had to deal with Lex Luthor who just shifted into Smallville to get revenge on them.
Aside from that, Superman & Lois season 4 has been adapting the Death of Superman story arc. In the comics, Superman dies while battling Doomsday, and that's exactly what happens in the show. Superman's heart is ripped out from his body by Doomsday, who then delivers it to Luthor.
In an effort to revive Superman, Jordan takes him to the Fortress of Solitude, but all hope is lost as Luthor then ends up destroying Clark's heart. With Superman now dead, and his hologram a part of the Fortress of Solitude, it sets up the Kent family for quite some difficult times ahead.

Going forward in Superman & Lois season 4, which premieres on October 14, fans can expect the Kents trying to deal with Lex Luthor, while the supervillain makes his own plans to further torment the family.

Fans can also expect to see Jordan take on the mantle of Superman in the absence of his father, while further plans are seen to how to revive the Man of Steel.

What can fans expect from Superman & Lois season 4 episode 3?
The Kents dealing with Lex Luthor
With Lex Luthor back in Smallville, fans can expect to see him further torment the Kent family in Superman & Lois season 4.
Given that Lois Lane was the reason that he ended up in jail in the first place, he has already started doing so by turning Bizarro into Doomsday and killing Superman. Now, following that, he will definitely try going after her job as well.
It also looks like the story will see how Lex Luthor will continue to ignore his company due to his trying to get revenge on Lois, which can cause further implications as well.
But fans can also expect Lois not to back down easily and put up a fight - after all, she is the journalist who keeps going.
Jordan's turn as a superhero
With Superman now dead in Superman & Lois season 4, fans can expect to see Jordan take up the mantle as Smallville's own superhero. With General Lane gifting him his own outfit and the people already having seen him as a superhero in action, it looks like Jordan is all ready to take on the mantle of Superboy in this universe.
However, given that he has been developing a hate for Lex Luthor too and did threaten him, this will make him a prime target for the supervillain. Jordan will certainly need to keep a lookout for himself.
Superman's revival
In the comic books, following the Death of Superman story arc, Superman is then later revived in the Reign of Supermen story arc. When the Eradicator steals Clark's body and takes it to the Fortress of Solitude to feed off its energy, this leads to him being revived as well.
With Superman's body now in the Fortress of Solitude, fans can certainly expect Superman to be back in future episodes. However, it's just a question of when it will happen.
