What to expect from Superman and Lois season 4?

Fans can expect a lot to happen in the upcoming season of Superman and Lois. Most importantly, fans can expect it to be a loose adaptation of the Death of Superman comic. With Superman just having fought Doomsday and sacrificing his life in the process, this will lead the Kent family to go through their own set of struggles.

In the trailer for the season, the Kents can be seen in the Fortress of Solitude with Clark's body, with Jordan also trying to live up to his best as a superhero. However, at the same time, it looks like they will have to deal with Lex Luthor's own plans too as the villain can be seen donning the Steel armor.

The President of Entertainment at CW, Brad Schwartz, revealed in an interview with TV Line in May 2024, that the upcoming season will be "Emmy-worthy".

“It is weekly event television. Greg Berlanti and the producers have constructed 10 bangers. They really go for it. I’ve cried twice watching [the first nine episodes], and I haven’t even gotten to the finale yet. It’s Emmy-worthy," said Schwartz.

Schwartz also revealed that the season can be watched without having seen any of the previous seasons too.

“And, by the way, you can watch this final season without having watched the previous [seasons] and still be emotionally invested in what is happening. It’s a wonderful, 10-episode, contained arc.”

The upcoming season will also consist of 10 episodes. Superman and Lois focus on the lives of Clark Kent and Lois Lane in Smallville as they try raising their kids in the town while also keeping up with the superhero life.
