Tell Me Lies season 2 episode 6: The Haloween disaster continued into Thanksgiving
In a particularly eventful Halloween in episode 5 of Tell Me Lies season 2, the audience witnessed Stephen's sister, Sadie's perception of him changing. This was courtesy of a rage-filled voicemail forwarded by Lucy, and they were waiting for Stephen to clap back.
Stephen did exactly that in Tell Me Lies season 2 episode 6. While almost all of Baird College was invited to Evan's place for Thanksgiving, Lucy and Stephen successfully created a toxic environment around them yet again. This time, Stephen was the instigator while Lucy was simply reacting.
The episode started with all the guests at Evan's place deciding to play slap shots. Slap shots is a drinking game in which one person takes a shot, and the person pouring the shot is expected to slap the person receiving the drink.
The game stirred up many conversations, including about Stephen's relationship with Leo's ex, Becca. Stephen consistently talked about this in front of Lucy to create an environment of uneasiness.
When Leo finally addressed Stephen's instigating behavior and told Lucy that he had broken up with Becca because Stephen slept with her, she was taken aback for a moment. She asked if Leo was with her because he wanted to get back at Stephen, to which he answered in negative.
Stephen then elevated the tense environment by revealing Lucy's toxicity, urging her to slap Diana in anger. Seeing Lucy react in such a manner, Leo left but was followed by Lucy. The two then had a conversation and realized that both of them had a lot to work on individually. They broke up by the end of Tell Me Lies season 2 episode 6.
Evan is still in love with Bree and cannot hide it in Tell Me Lies season 2 episode 6

So, when Bree came to his place with the others on Thanksgiving, he was excited to see her. He was hopeful about making amends and, if possible, rekindling their relationship. However, all his aspirations were unsuccessful when Molly, his current girlfriend, appeared.
To further rub salt in his wound, Molly revealed that Bree was seeing someone, which urged Evan to ask Bree about it. Bree revealed that she was indeed seeing someone and that he was 45 years old, which took Evan by surprise. He expressed discontentment with this and alleged that Bree's attraction towards the person emerged from her unresolved trauma about her father.
