The Boys season 4 episode 6 premiered on Amazon Prime Video on Thursday, July 4, 2024. Titled Dirty Business, the episode saw the titular hero group infiltrate Tek Knight's Mansion where a party was taking place so they could figure out what The Seven was up to. The episode featured Hughie dressed up as Webweaver and going undercover only to face horrors at the hands of Tek Knight.
On the other hand, The Boys season 4 episode 6 also saw Butcher asking Sameer to make a dose of the virus that's strong enough to kill Homelander. They were hit with the revelation that creating a virus like that would cause a global genocide of the Supes. It was also revealed that Joe Kessler is just a figment of Butcher's imagination and that he doesn't exist.
The Boys season 4 episode 7 titled The Insider is the penultimate outing of this season. Given that so much happened this week, fans can expect some interesting events, especially Butcher fighting his inner voice because if he gives in to it, then every supe (Superhumans) in the world will die.
What can fans expect from The Boys season 4 episode 7?
Butcher trying to fight his inner voice
One of the biggest revelations of episode 6 was that Butcher finally realized that Joe Kessler is an imagination of his, just like his wife Becca. With Butcher now learning this and realizing that he isn't on board with taking out every supe in the world, viewers can expect to see him fight the voice inside his head in The Boys season 4 episode 7.
Knowing that Kessler is pretty much the personification of Butcher's worst qualities, and he doesn't agree with his inner voice asking him to commit genocide on all supes, perhaps fans can see Kessler take a complete hold over Butcher. Kessler even revealed in the previous episode that it was him who helped Butcher kill Ezekiel, hinting that he could take control over him.
Homelander and Sage's plan
The Boys season 4 episode 6 also revealed that Homelander and Sage plan to use Tek Knight's private prisons. Knight confessed it when Hughie, Annie, and Kimiko had him tied up, and he revealed that Homelander and Sage intend to use his prisons to put their "dissidents" in them.
The end goal here remains to be seen. But, considering that Homelander and Sage's original goal was to get America under their control, the prisons can definitely be used to capture those who go against them.
Homelander and Firecracker's relationship
Homelander is a guy who surely has a lot of issues when it comes to mother figures, and The Boys season 4 episode 6 might have just given him a new one. Going forward, Firecracker is likely to have an even closer relationship with Homelander - and the kind that certainly isn't romantic, but the weird kind that fits the tone of The Boys.
Moreover, Firecracker has been useless in his eyes so far, fans can expect to see her maybe even edge out Sage in being important to Homelander, and being an even bigger major player going ahead.
Fans can check out The Boys season 4 episode 7 when it premieres next week on July 11, 2024, on Prime Video.
