The Boys season 4 episode 8 begins with the news that “Training A-Train” is shelved and Vought’s excuse to the public is to say that the production of the movie was a tax write-off after A-Train is officially on the run.
The Boys season 4 episode 8 end credits scene explained
The Return Of Soldier Boy
The final scene of The Boys season 4 episode 8 shows Homelander meeting the newly elected President Calhoun in a bunker. President Calhoun shows Homelander that his father, Soldier Boy, is still alive and is being kept in some chamber where he is sedated.
This means we are going to get the fan favourite Soldier Boy played by Jensen Ackles back in Season 5. We can expect to see the 3-generations of supes Soldier Boy, Homelander, and Ryan either fighting together or fighting against each other.
Whatever the showrunners are planning, best sure it will be diabolical.
Victoria Neuman’s supe revelation and death
In The Boys season 4 episode 8, we see that on January 6, 2024, the election results are being aired. Homelander and Firecracker set an interview for Victoria Neuman on Firecrackers live TV show, Here, the trio planned to reveal that Neuman is a supe which would lead to a radical emotional change in the election.
Homelander lost his cool during the interview and revealed that Neuman is a supe by attempting to laser her head off, but because she is a supe it doesn’t work. Homelander attempts to assassinate Robert Singer after the revelation of Neuman’s true Identity.
Homelander then uses Sage’s shifter supe to pose as Starlight while the boys protect Singer in his bunker from getting assassinated.
The assassination fails and Neuman calls Homelander trying to reason with him to find another plan to declare martial law by deputising supes. They fight over the call and Homelander threatens to find and torture Neuman’s daughter, to which she panics and turns to The Boys.
Neuman calls Hughie and asks for help and he agrees to protect both Neuman and her daughter if she helps The Boys take down Homelander once and for all.
When Hughie brings Neuman and her daughter to The Boys while discussing, they see Butcher walking and we finally get to see the Hero-shot of the season. Butcher with his tentacles kills Neuman by tearing her into 2-pieces, proving once more that he is a super-killer and can go against invincible and strong supes like Neuman.
The world of The Boys
Season 4 of The Boys, although extremely well executed with its writing and cinematography, sets up an incredible yet haunting realistic political environment.
The satire and depictions that are adapted from real-world scenarios by the director Eric Kripke provide a comic yet surreal meaning to the environment that we live in and also the environment created by the showrunners.
Season 5 of The Boys will be the final season of the series as already declared by showrunner and director Eric Kripke, where he promised it will be more fast-paced and with bigger things happening each episode. Kripke’s plan to culminate this series in season 5 was made since the start of the show back in 2019.
The Boys season 4 episode 8 is now streaming on Prime Video.
