The Devil's Hour season 2 was released on Prime Video on October 18, 2024. It will further dig into the torturous supernatural encounters experienced by Lucy while pulling viewers into a world of suspense with elements of mystery. The cast of The Devil's Hour season 2
Jessica Raine as Lucy Chambers
Lucy is the lead of The Devil's Hour season 2. She is a social worker who cannot sleep and wakes up each night at 3:33 am. Lucy experiences evil visions this time, known as the "devil's hour." Her life becomes even more complicated as her name becomes mysteriously linked with a series of savage murders within her community.
Throughout this series, Lucy gets caught in a rather exciting game of cat and mouse for a serial killer while facing her disasters-such as her remote and emotionless son, Isaac. Her previous works include Call the Midwife, The Changeling, Robin Hood, The Woman in Black, Fortitude, Patrick Melrose, Becoming Elizabeth, An Adventure in Space and Time, and The Last Post.
Peter Capaldi as Gideon Shepherd
Doctor Who fans know Peter Capaldi from his turn as the Twelfth Doctor. He stars as Gideon, the figure connected to Lucy's visions. He is a mysterious, complex character with an extraordinary gift: he remembers his future. Thus, he undergoes déjà vu and the events of his past lives, which enables him to prevent their crimes and save lives before they occur.
But with this gift, he becomes a target and is made to stay on the run. Capaldi's previous works include Benediction, The Suicide Squad, Paddington, Christopher Robinhood, The Fifth Estate, Aftersun and Bean.
Nikesh Patel as DI Ravi Dhillon
DI Ravi Dhillon is a detective inspector in the series. He investigates a series of brutal murders connected in some unknown way to Lucy Chambers. Ravi is a dedicated and determined detective, but he also struggles with hemophobia (fear of blood), which adds complexity to his character.
Throughout the series, Ravi works with DS Sam Boyd to solve the case and discover what happened behind the murders. Patel is known for his work in Indian Summers, The After, Artemis Fowl, Halal Daddy, Starstruck, and Four Weddings and a Funeral.
Benjamin Chivers as Isaac
Isaac Chambers is the young son of Lucy Chambers in The Devil's Hour season 2. Isaac is a withdrawn, peculiar, and a man of few words who gives the least idea of his true emotions, which consequently causes much concern for his mother, Lucy.
Throughout the series, his actions and reactions are mystery-driven, contributing to the overall sense of eeriness and distortion. His peculiar behavior is one of the central mysteries that Lucy tries to understand while dealing with her terrifying visions and insomnia.
