The Dragon Prince season 7 will be released on Netflix on December 19, 2024. The animated fantasy series follows the story of a 1000-year conflict between humans, elves, dragons, and other magical creatures in a fictional continent called Xadia.

It follows the adventures and quests undertaken by human Prince Callum, Moonshadow Elf Rayla, and others, as they do everything they can to stop the antagonist Startouch Elf Aaravos from breaking the cosmic order and inverting the forces of life and death.

The Dragon Prince season 7 will conclude the second saga of the series, called Mystery of Aaravos. Now, it's up to Team Zym to bring down Aaravos and return safety and peace to Xadia.

In the final moments of season 6, Aaravos was released from prison, thanks to Claudia, and he took on a massive form. Meanwhile, Claudia, who is now under his influence, empathizes with his motivations. With Claudia by his side, what will Aaravos do next?

When and where to watch The Dragon Prince season 7?

As stated above, all approximately half-hour episodes of The Dragon Prince season 7 will be released on Netflix on December 19, 2024. Sub-titled Dark, the final nine episodes of the second saga tease how dark the storyline could be.

In the official trailer for season 7, we see Aavaros set out to bring eternal night, as he unleashes the spirits of the dead. Meanwhile, Team Zym reunites and is as strong as ever to stop Aavaros from unleashing his eternal night.

The trailer also teases the unification of humans, dragons, and elves to stop the powerful mage from wreaking havoc. We also see snippets of Callum and Rayla's budding romance, including Callum's declaration that he would do anything for her. "I love you, Rayla," he says, and Rayla responds, "I love you too, Callum."

Everything to know about season 6

In season 6, Claudia freed Aavaros from prison. He took on a massive form and is now more powerful than ever, although he was quite powerful even behind bars, manipulating Lord Viren to do his bidding.

However, with one of the Quasar Diamonds still in the mix and the Nova Blade still missing, the heroes have a chance of defeating him.

Moreover, Callum has the cube which unlocks a book containing knowledge for accessing the six primal magics. Known as the Key of Aaravos, if Callum can find a way to get the book, Team Zym might have a good shot at defeating him and Claudia.

Season 6 also saw Rayla free her adoptive father Runaan, who was trapped in a magic coin alongside her parents. Rayla used the Quasar Diamonds to travel to the spirit world and free their souls. While her parents choose to move on, Runaan returns to the living world.
