Previously on The Equalizer season 5
The previous episode of The Equalizer season 5 was the winter finale for the show and revolved around a case that the team faced during Christmas time. On Christmas Eve, Robyn, Dante, and Miles got cordoned off in a hospital after it was taken over by a cartel.
Robyn and Dante were trying to prevent the cartel from making a hit on one of the cartel leader's daughters who Dante had taken in for questioning. By the climax of the episode, they realized that the daughter was in cahoots with the cartel and all those against them were the ones at risk.
The cartel even took Miles hostage briefly, but Robyn and Dante managed to save him. After this, they killed or apprehended the other cartel members, and celebrated a peaceful and joyful Christmas together with family and loved ones.

What to expect for The Equalizer season 5 episode 8?
Since the next episode of The Equalizer is slated to be released in 2025, there is not much information about what it will entail or how it will take the plot forward. Audiences can certainly expect a nail-biting case as always, as has been the case with this season earlier.
However, as per the ending of the most recent episode, Robyn has made up her mind that she and Miles should not get back together. She remained firm on this stand even in the face of Miles' disagreement. This might mean that Robyn and Dante have an open window to get together in the subsequent episodes.
