The long-awaited return of the fifth season of action-drama series The Equalizer is here. It continues the story of former CIA operative Robyn McCall, an anonymous vigilante who helps people who have no one in their corner.
The Equalizer season 5 will be released on October 20, 2024. The season is set to air on the American network CBS and stream on Paramount+. Queen Latifah, who is best known for her roles in Chicago and Girls Trip, will return as the protagonist Robyn McCall.
Returning with her are also notable actors Tory Kittles as detective Marcus Dante and Liza Lapira as Melody "Mel" Bayani, both of whom have had significant roles throughout The Equalizer. Kittles is known for his work in True Detective, while Lapira has appeared in films like Crazy, Stupid, and Love.
The Equalizer season 5 sees the hardening of Robyn's journey as her team gets broken up and her personal life tangles into street justice missions. Other returning cast members include Adam Goldberg who plays Harry Keshegian, and Lorraine Toussaint who plays Aunt Vi. Jennifer Ferrin as Avery Grafton and Donal Logue as Colton Fisk, also return.

Robyn McCall is a former CIA operative who puts her skills to help people in dire need of justice. She's highly resourceful, intelligent, and empathetic. Queen Latifah is a multi-talented performer famous for appearing in Set It Off, Chicago (for which she was nominated for an Academy Award), Girls Trip, and the television show Living Single.
Tory Kittles as Marcus Dante
Marcus Dante is an honest and justice-calling detective often teamed up with Robyn. His commitment to justice makes him quite indispensable. Tory Kittles' previous works include projects like Sons of Anarchy, True Detective, and Colony.
Adam Goldberg as Harry Keshegian
Harry Keshegian is an excellent hacker and tech wizard. His skill set is beneficial to Robyn and the team because it helps in finding technological solutions to sometimes relatively complex problems. Goldberg has been in movies such as Saving Private Ryan, A Beautiful Mind, and TV's Fargo.
Liza Lapira as Melody Mel Bayani
Mel Bayani is an ex-Air Force sniper. She's the muscle of the team which really gives it a lot of firepower and tactical resource. Liza Lapira has appeared in movies such as Crazy, Stupid, Love, and 21, and TV shows such as NCIS and Dollhouse.
Laya DeLeon Hayes as Delilah McCall
Delilah is Robyn's teen daughter, who feels neglected by her mother's overbearing commitment to her work life. Laya DeLeon Hayes is the voice behind Doc McStuffins, a popular Disney Junior show. She was also part of Raven's Home and This Is Us.
Lorraine Toussaint as Aunt Vi
Aunt Vi is Robyn's intuitive and loveable aunt. She provides emotional support and guidance to Robyn and Delilah. Lorraine Toussaint has previously worked in Orange Is the New Black, Selma, and The Village.
Jennifer Ferrin as Avery Grafton
Avery Grafton plays the district attorney who has a complicated relationship with Robyn. Jennifer Ferrin has previously worked in The Knick, Hell on Wheels, and The Following.
Donal Logue as Colton Fisk
Colton Fisk is a decorated ex-CIA union chief. His return dredges up old memories and unsolved issues for Robyn. Donal Logue is mostly known for his roles in shows such as Sons of Anarchy, Gotham, and The Tao of Steve.
The Equalizer season 5 will be released on 20 October 2024 on CBS and a day later on Paramount+. The subscribers of Paramount+ with Showtime can also stream the show live.
