What can fans expect from The Last of Us season 2?
In The Last of Us season 2, fans can expect to see Joel and Ellie living Jackson alongside Tommy and Maria. Since the story is based on the events of the video game The Last of Us: Part II, viewers can anticipate seeing a time skip as well, as the game takes five years after the events of the first game. With a significantly older Joel and a much more grown-up Ellie, they will be having their own lives in Jackson.
Alongside seeing the return of the classic characters, fans can also expect to see new ones like Kaitlin Dever's Abby. Without spoiling much, Abby in The Last of Us season 2 will be a character motivated by revenge who has an axe to grind with Joel. This is what will shape most of this season's story, with revenge as the main theme and how far one will go to get it.
The Last of Us season 2 will feature a war between two militant groups
Fans will also be taken to the gloomy and post-apocalyptic streets of Seattle. There, they will witness a war between the Seraphites, a religious cult, and the Washington Liberation Front (W.L.F.), a militia who have been fighting among themselves for ages. A peak of this can also be seen in the preview, with Jeffrey Wright playing the role of Isaac, the leader of the W.L.F.
Abby will be a part of the W.L.F. in the second season of The Last of Us as well. The Seraphites can also be seen in the preview as a mysterious character seen walking with a sickle.
Stay tuned for further updates on the show's upcoming season.
