The three-episode premiere of The Legend of Vox Machina season 3 saw the members of Vox Machina team up with Raishan, one of the dragons of the Chroma Conclave. The two parties struck a deal, deciding to work together to bring down Thordak.
Episodes 4-6 of The Legend of Vox Machina season 3 were released on October 10, 2024, on Amazon Prime Video. At the end of episode 6, titled The Coming Storm, Percy breaks off the earlier deal with Raishan.
In episode 6, Vox Machina arrives at Whitestone, only to see that the dragons have laid siege to the city. This should have been impossible considering that the entire city was cloaked. This revelation indicates that someone betrayed them and helped the dragons.
Percy reasons that it was Anna Ripley. He wants to settle scores with Ripley before proceeding against Thordak. Raishan, however, wants them to go to Emon and fight. As a result, Vox Machina and Raishan part ways due to their strategic disagreements.
The Legend of Vox Machina season 3 episodes 4-6 ending: Raishan is Vox Machina’s enemy once again
In episode 5 of season 3, titled The Frigid Wastes, Vox Machina is able to slay the dragon Vorugal. However, after the prolonged battle, Allura needs some rest. Scanlan teleports them to the nightclub Chateau Shorthalt, where the members of Vox Machina rest and have a fun time.
As episode 6 begins, Vox Machina is eager to get back in action. While Scanlan stays back to meet his daughter, the others go to the city of Whitestone.
Upon arriving at Whitestone, Vox Machina is visibly confused since the city is being destroyed by dragons. They swiftly take charge of the situation and start fighting the dragons, but it is already too late.
The siege of Whitestone should not have been possible, given that the entire place was cloaked. This leads the team to question who betrayed them and helped the dragons. Most suspect Raishan, who soon appears and faces a hostile Vox Machina.
Percy, however, argues that it was Ripley. Burning with the desire for revenge, he wants to pursue Ripley first. On the other hand, Raishan wants Vox Machina to go to Emon first and fight, and take care of Ripley later. When Percy does not agree, the deal between the two parties is called off.
Raishan menacingly threatens the group that they would meet again, but as enemies. Thus, the partnership between Raishan and Vox Machina in The Legend of Vox Machina season 3 is quite short-lived.
