Recap of The Night Agent season 2

In season 2 of The Night Agent, Peter Sutherland (Gabriel Basso) takes on a new mission to prevent a dangerous chemical weapon attack and uncover a conspiracy linked to the U.S. government. Peter meets up with Rose Larkin, and they team up to stop a dangerous plan related to a secret government program called Foxglove.

Foxglove was a hidden U.S. program aimed at making antidotes for chemical weapons by first creating those weapons. Viktor Bala's son, Tomás, and his nephew, Markus, wanted to use a weapon, KX, against the UN for revenge.

Tomás and Markus captured Rose and a former Foxglove scientist to make more KX. Tomás eventually opposed Markus but was killed for his betrayal.

Peter partnered with Jacob Monroe to trade a secret UN document for details about Foxglove. This deal helped Peter save Rose and stop Markus, who was hiding in Sloane’s hotel room.

At the same time, Monroe used the document to push presidential candidate Knox out of the race, making sure Hagan, under Monroe's influence, would become president.

Noor, an Iranian agent, escaped from her captor Javad by getting him in trouble for treason with the help of Abbas, the Iranian ambassador. Noor and her mother became U.S. citizens and moved to Illinois.

At the end of the season, Peter turned himself in for his unlawful actions. Catherine from Night Action let him go and asked him to break into Monroe's group to find out about future plans. Peter broke up with Rose to keep her safe, and she chose to concentrate on her job, making their future unclear.
