A brief recap of The Old Man season 2 episode 4
The latest episode saw Emily asking both Dan and Harold to persuade Bote to release the Mashbahar deposit’s account. Although it was an impossible task, the duo returned to the U.S. without Emily, who decided to stay behind.
After confronting Bote, Dan and Harold learned that he had frozen the account to stop Pavlovich, who was getting very involved in the lithium deposit.
Dan was shocked to see Zoe and learned that she had been in contact with Hamzad’s lawyer, who was holding crucial intel regarding Pavlovich’s next move. Bote and Zoe had been working together to unravel deeper layers of Pavlovich’s plans to gain control over the MAshbahar deposit.
Dan requested Bote to reconsider, but the latter was firm with his decision. Bote’s mansion was infiltrated by two of Pavlovich’s mercenaries. Where one of them was shot dead by Bote, the other managed to kill him and slowly moved towards Zoe who was hiding behind a desk.
Making it in time, Dan saved Zoe. Elsewhere, Hamzad died due to a fatal wound that he suffered after Harold shot him. Both Taki and Emily were shocked to learn about his death as Hamzad told Khadija to keep this a secret.
The episode ended with Pavlovich learning about Bote’s death through his right-hand man at a military base where he was seemingly preparing for something big.

The Old Man season 2 episode 5 will see Emily learn about Bote’s death, which will be a major shocker to her given he was the only person who could have stopped what was coming for Hamzad’s family. As seen in the teaser, Dan is trying to convince Emily to return leaving everything behind, which she is hesitant about.
As Emily is gradually embracing her true identity, her resolve to keep her family safe is unwavering. This will likely make Dan take the matter into his own hands, leading him to encounter his past, head-on.
