The Old Man season 2 will be released globally on September 12, 2024

The Old Man season 2 will be released on September 12, 2024. Similar to the first season, the sequel will also have a double-header debut and run for eight episodes, releasing every Thursday till October 24, 2024. Although it is yet to be unveiled, the runtime of the episodes is anticipated to be similar to the first season, which is 47 to 64 minutes.

Like many TV series, movies, and other projects, the production of The Old Man season 2 was also affected by the WGA 2023 strikes. However, the filming that was halted in May 2023 resumed sooner than expected. Given the long journey from novel to series, creators Jonathan E. Steinberg and Robert Levine were immensely excited for the second season.

President of FX Entertainment, Eric Shrier, also expressed his excitement for the renewal, praising the creators for a “fantastic job."

Plot summary
