Everything else we know so far about the series
Fox Entertainment first proposed an adaptation of The Perfect Couple in 2019; it has been under development since then. In December 2019, Jenna Lamia was announced as an adapter and showrunner, and Susanne Bier was later added as director of the series.
Filming took place between April and June 2023 in several locations around Massachusetts, including Nantucket, after Netflix greenlit it as a six-part series in August 2022.
Despite facing challenges such as the strike by actors’ guild members last September during its production, this series has been able to move forward. A few alterations have been made from Celeste Otis to Amelia Sacks, but some elements remain authentic based on the books.
The series is set to premiere on Netflix on September 5, 2024.
