Kimberly and Whitney end up liking the same person by the end of The Sex Lives of College Girls season 2

The Sex Lives of College Girls season 2 began quite differently for roommates Kimberly Finkle, played by Pauline Chalamet, and Whitney Chase, portrayed by Alyah Chanelle Scott. Their lives underwent unforeseen changes, particularly influenced by their mutual friend, Canaan.

At the start of the season, Canaan had recently broken up with Whitney after discovering her intrusive behavior. Whitney's inclination toward prying and snooping culminated in Canaan catching her going through his phone, which shattered his trust in her and ultimately led to him breaking up with her.

The breakup especially weighed down heavily on Whitney, who found herself inadequately prepared and emotionally distressed following the abrupt dissolution of the relationship. In her quest for recovery, Whitney immersed herself in her academic endeavors while also trying her hands at dating.

She briefly engaged with her classmate Andrew; however, that did not end up working out when she realized that they weren't a good fit and that she was still in love with her ex, Canaan.

Meanwhile, Kimberly was seen dealing with her own issues. After losing her scholarship due to a cheating incident, she struggled to afford college. Asking her parents for help wasn’t an option, as they often looked down on her regarding financial matters, leaving Kimberly feeling isolated in her struggles.

She looked for different jobs to get back on her feet financially, but when those efforts fail, she decides to sell her eggs out of desperation. During these tough times, Kimberly developed feelings for a new classmate named Jackson, and their new relationship initially seemed promising.

However, Kimberly soon realized she had feelings for Canaan, her coworker, and Whitney’s ex. This revelation led her to break up with Jackson before their relationship progressed further. As a result, Kimberly, Whitney, and Canaan's lives become inexplicably intertwined.

Leighton was opening herself to new experiences after coming out while Bela's life was falling apart by the end of The Sex Lives of College Girls season 2

After coming out to her roommates and family, Reneé Rapp's character, Leighton Murray, was enjoying herself at the start of The Sex Lives of College Girls season 2, exploring relationships with various women. However, things soon backfired when rumors circulated about her spreading an STI.

Fortunately, those rumors were quickly dismissed, and Leighton found herself drawn to Tatum, who resembled her. As their relationship deepened, Leighton realized they weren't meant to be together, leading her to break up with Tatum and rekindle her romance with her ex-girlfriend Alicia, for whom she still had feelings.

Meanwhile, Bela's journey (played by Amrit Kaur) also started positively but soon took a downward turn. At the start of The Sex Lives of College Girls season 2, Bela was thriving at The Foxy and had entered into a relationship with Eric, wanting to make it exclusive. However, a series of unfortunate events complicated her life.

While assisting stand-up and late-night host Dan O'Connell, Bela was eager to secure an internship with him. At the same time, Eric was also trying to build a professional connection with Dan. Despite Bela's determination, she noticed that Dan seemed to favor Eric, which pressured her to elevate her efforts.

Bela decided to sleep with Dan in a move to land the internship, but when Eric found out, he ended their relationship. Additionally, throughout The Sex Lives of College Girls season 2, Bela neglected her colleagues and even wrote a piece for The Foxy that ended up being centered on herself.

This angered her coworkers, resulting in her dismissal from the company. As a result of all this, by the end of The Sex Lives of College Girls season 2, Bela felt compelled to transfer schools.

The next episode of The Sex Lives of College Girls season 3 will air on Max on December 5, 2024.
