The Terminal List is a crime action television series that was released on July 1, 2022, on Amazon Prime Video. The series was created by screenwriter and filmmaker David DiGilio, based on Jack Carr's 2018 novel of the same name. Carr is a US Navy SEAL veteran, who wrote the book based partly on his battlefield experiences.
This action thriller revolves around the story of James Reece, a Navy SEAL Lieutenant Commander, who struggles to overcome his traumas. He has lost his entire squad to a sudden ambush during a covert mission, and his family is murdered in a secret conspiracy planned by corrupt officials. The terminal list becomes Reece's final mission, to find the hidden culprits and terminate them.
The Parks and Recreation star Chris Pratt plays the role of the protagonist James Reece. He is supported by a set of brilliant actors including Taylor Kitsch, Constance Wu, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Riley Keough, Jeanne Tripplehorn, and J.D. Pardo, among others. After its initial mixed reception, The Terminal List was renewed for a second season in February 2023.

1) Chris Pratt as James Reece
Chris Pratt plays the role of James Reece, a Navy SEAL Lieutenant Commander, who is the sole survivor of an ambush that killed all the members of his squad. After returning home, he finds that the sudden attack was a conspiracy committed by corrupt government officials. To avenge his loved ones, Reece prepares a terminal list and starts a mission to eliminate every name written on it.
Chris Pratt first got major attention for playing the role of Andy Dwyer in the NBC sitcom Parks and Recreation. Since then, he has appeared in several films, including Jennifer's Body (2009), Zero Dark Thirty (2012), Her (2013), Passengers (2016), The Magnificient Seven (2016), The Tomorrow War (2021), and The Garfield Movie (2024).
Pratt has also been part of the MCU and has been playing the role of Star-Lord in the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise since 2014, with his most recent MCU appearance in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 (2023).
2) Taylor Kitsch as Ben Edwards
Taylor Kitsch plays the role of Ben Edwards, an ex-Navy SEAL, who is a close friend of Reece. He currently works for the CIA and helps his friend on his journey to find the true culprits behind the loss.
The Canadian actor is mostly known on the screen for the drama Friday Night Lights, where he played Tim Riggins. Kitsch also played the role of Paul Woodrugh in HBO's True Detective (2014) and David Koresh in Paramount's Waco (2018).
Some of his other notable works include X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2009), Battleship (2012), John Carter (2012), Lone Survivor (2013), The Great Seduction (2014), 21 Bridges (2019), Shadowplay (2020), Savage Salvation (2022), and Painkiller (2023).
3) Constance Wu as Katie Buranek
Constance Wu plays the role of Katie Buranek, a dedicated journalist who adds herself to Reece's mission. This leads to her leaving her job and completely devoting herself to tracking the corrupt criminals, providing them with necessary punishment.
Constance Wu first made her breakthrough performance as Jessica Huang in the popular ABC Sitcom Fresh Off the Boat (2015). Some other popular works by Wu include Crazy Rich Asians (2018), Hustlers (2019), Wish Dragon (2021), Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile (2022) and Velma (2023-).
4) Patrick Schwarzenegger as Donny Mitchell
Patrick Schwarzenegger plays the role of Donny Mitchell, a Special Warfare Operator, who joins Reece's mission as the youngest commander. Mitchell brings a light humor during the most tense situation throughout the season.
Patrick is the son of the legendary bodybuilder Arnold Schwarzenegger, and the brother-in-law of Chris Pratt. He is known for his roles in Midnight Sun (2018), Echo Boomers (2020), Moxie (2021), Warning (2021), The Staircase (2022), and The Boys spinoff Gen V (2023).
5) Riley Keough as Lauren Reece
Riley Keough plays the role of Lauren Reece, the wife of James Reece, who has always been the backbone of the family. She plays a very crucial role in shaping James Reece's mission.
Danielle Riley Keough made her debut role in Marie Michelle Currie's biopic The Runaways in 2010. She earned a Golden Globes nomination for playing an escort in season one of The Girlfriend Experience (2016).
She is the granddaughter of Elvis Presley, and some of her major works include Mad Max: Fury Road (2015), The Lodge (2019), Zola (2020), Daisy Jones & the Six (2023), Under the Bridge (2024), and Sasquatch Sunset (2024).
6) Jeanne Tripplehorn as Lorraine Hartley
Jeanne Tripplehorn plays the security of defense, Lorraine Hartley, in The Terminal List. She is a dedicated woman, who wants to bring out the truth at any cost. Hartley joins herself in Reece's mission to back him up at the most difficult times.
Tripplehorn made her debut playing a supporting role in the 1992 erotic thriller film Basic Instinct. She received an Emmy nomination for playing the role of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis in HBO's 2009 biopic Grey Gardens. Some of her notable works include The Firm (1993), Waterworld (1995), Sliding Doors (1998), Criminal Minds (2012), Ana (2020), and The Gilded Age (2022).
7) J.D. Pardo as Tony Layun
Jorge Daniel Pardo plays the role of Tony Layun, the ruthless FBI agent who is asked to hunt down John Reece. He is the head of the Fugitive Task Force, playing an essential part in adding thrill to the story. Layun's presence keeps on intensifying the plot till the last episode.
Pardo is most popular for his role as Ezekiel Reyes in the Sons of Anarchy spinoff Mayans M.C. released in 2018. Some of his other notable works include F9 (2021), The Contractor (2022), Hypnotic (2023), and Road House (2024).
