Episode 3 of Tulsa King season 2 was released on Paramount+ on September 29, 2024. In the previous episode, Goodie (Chris Caldovino) received a lucrative offer from Chickie (Domenick Lombardozzi): If Goodie helped Chickie take down Dwight (Sylvester Stallone), Chickie would let him rule all of Tulsa.
Episode 2 did not clarify whose team Goodie intended to be on eventually. However, the latest episode of Tulsa King season 2 revealed that Goodie chose to remain loyal to Dwight.
The synopsis of episode 3, titled Oklahoma v. Manfredi reads as follows:
“Dwight has a contentious meeting with Bill Bevilaqua and later finds out his fate in court.”
The latest episode deals with all the major plot and character elements introduced in season 2. For instance, the cold war between Dwight and Cal Tresher (Neal McDonough) acquires a new dimension. Bill Bevilaqua (Frank Grillo) has an ominous meeting with "The General," and the trial against Dwight gets a closure.
Tulsa King season 2 episode 3 ending: Goodie chooses Dwight
Episode 2 ended with a cliffhanger, While Goodie did not readily accept Chickie’s handsome offer, he did not outright reject it either. Towards the end of episode 3, Goodie gets a call from Chickie. The latter informs the former that Dwight would be murdered on that night by Bill’s henchman Carl Caputo.
All Goodie has to do is bring Dwight out of the party at night, so Carl can attack him. This Goodie does, when the hour approaches, but just when Carl is about to initiate the assault, Goodie, together with Bigfoot, takes him down.
This suggests that Goodie has chosen to side with Dwight, after all. The subsequent episodes of Tulsa King season 2 could reveal what effect this decision has on his life since Chickie would be disappointed in him. As the episode closes, Bill finds the corpse of his right-hand man Carl at the gate of his house.
Cal and Bill are preparing for war
The premiere of Tulsa King season 2 revealed that Cal had no interest in doing business with Dwight. Infact, wanted him out of Tulsa since he considered the place his turf. Further, episode 2 showed that Cal was trying to influence the trial against Dwight by bribing the attorney.
In episode 3, Cal helps out Armand, one of Dwight’s men, with a substantial sum of money. Armand has been undergoing a difficult, financially excruciating divorce, and his loyalty towards Dwight has been wavering. Cal’s act could no doubt prompt Armand to switch sides. Thus, the decision to help him is a shrewd move on Cal’s part.
Bill, on the other hand, takes a more direct approach. He meets Dwight and straightaway demands a share of whatever Dwight is making in Tulsa. “The General” tells the Kansas City mob boss that the latter can have no claim on the money since it started flowing in Tulsa only after Dwight’s arrival.
Bill, naturally, is displeased with this. Later that night, his associate Carl tries to kill Dwight, a move that ends badly for Carl and Bill.
Episode 3 brings good news for Dwight
The finale of season 1 saw Dwight go to prison for allegedly bribing Stacy Beale (Andrea Savage), a senior ATF agent. In episode 3 of Tulsa King season 2, the trial against Dwight comes to an end.
Dwight decides to represent himself in court, and in episode 3, he puts up a formidable fight in his favor. He tells the court that Beale and he were romantically involved, and Beale also saved his life once. So, the $1 million that he sent her was merely a gift, not a bribe.
Further, Dwight argues that the money cannot be deemed a bribe all the more because he never expected anything from Beale in exchange for that. Eventually, his reasoning convinces the jury, and he is acquitted of all charges.
Finally free of the charges against him, Dwight will now undoubtedly try to expand his business in Tulsa. This spells doom for Cal and Bill. The next episode of Tulsa King season 2 will be released on Paramount+ on October 6, 2024.
