“Thresher makes a move on Dwight's crew as tensions rise within the New York City Mob family.”
In episode 5, Thresher and Dwight have an altercation in Margaret’s farm, following which Thresher sends his men to damage Dwight’s equipment on his newly-bought farm. At the end of the episode, Thresher calls Bill and plots future moves against Dwight.
The latest episode of the series, apart from taking the antagonism between Dwight and Thresher forward, also sheds some light on Dwight’s current personal life. Further, thanks to Vince, a meeting between the various mob bosses is on the horizon.
Tulsa King season 2 episode 5 ending: Thresher will not let Dwight be
Ever since his arrival at Tulsa, Dwight has been facing hostilities from Thresher. The latter gets inside information from Manny and uses the same to foil Dwight’s plans.
In fact, he tries to outsmart Dwight by attempting to buy off the farm from the Native American owner. Dwight, however, prevails.
In the latest episode of Tulsa King season 2, Dwight and Thresher verbally abuse each other when they run into each other on Margaret’s farm. Dwight’s associates ask him to escalate his pitch against his rivals.
The General, however, is interested only in doing business in Tulsa, and not getting into gang fights.
Thresher, however, will not back down. He sends several men to Dwight’s newly bought farm to damage the equipment. Dwight and men arrive only in time and beat up Thresher’s goons.
At the end of episode 5 of Tulsa King season 2, Dwight is on a date with Margaret and having a pleasant time dining at a restaurant. A waiter appears, carrying a bottle of their supposedly best wine.
The waiter informs Dwight that the bottle has been sent by Thresher. The General gets the message: Thresher is not going to let him do business in Tulsa peacefully.
Further, before the restaurant scene, Thresher is seen talking to Bill Bevilaqua on the phone. The former wants Dwight out of Tulsa as soon as possible, even it if means taking refuge to violent means.
What’s happening in Dwight’s personal life?
The episode starts with Dwight accompanying his daughter and his two grandchildren to a new school which Tina likes. It appears that the school believes in an idealistic curriculum, where children are taught not to be competitive.
This does not please the General as he thinks that such a curriculum will not prepare the kids to face the real world. The conversation between Dwight and the school’s principal on their differing ideologies forms one of the most hilarious scenes in Tulsa King season 2.
Also, Dwight and Margaret are having a steady relationship at this point, and the General wants nothing more than to have a good time with his family in Tulsa and do good business.
Further, Joanne, his sister, is also trying to get involved in his business operations.
What is Vince planning?
In the previous episode, Vince, one of Chickie’s close associates, expressed his desire to work with Bill. In episode 5 of Tulsa King season 2, Vince takes on an important role; he becomes the mediator between the belligerent factions.
He asks Chickie and Bill on the one hand and Goodie on the other to arrange a meeting so that a truce can be arranged between the two parties.
Also, the new episode makes it clear that Vince is not a fan of how Chickie runs his business.
The next episode of Tulsa King season 2 will be released on October 20, 2024.
