Tulsa King season 2 episode 8 ending explained: Who gets shot at the end?

Episode 8 of Tulsa King season 2 was released on Paramount+ on November 3, 2024. The latest episode brings what fans have been anticipating for a long time: a full-blown war among the various factions laying their claims over Tulsa.

The previous episode of Tulsa King season 2 paved the way for this catastrophe, as Tyson, in the heat of the moment, drove all the way to Kansas City and opened fire on one of Bill’s associates, much to Dwight’s chagrin. Bill, of course, considered this a breach of trust. In the latest episode, Dwight and company face the consequences of Tyson’s action.

The General warns his associates that Bill will retaliate. As a result, his business partners start retreating one by one, however, at the end of the episode, as Jimmy and Bodhi are leaving Even Higher Plane, a car speeds up past them. A gunman fires several shots at them, potentially killing Jimmy.

Tulsa King season 2 episode 8 ending: Jimmy’s life is in danger

The episode begins with Dwight and his trusted men confronting Tyson about his reckless act of shooting at one of Bill’s men. The General is understandably upset with Tyson because the latter’s thoughtless action will now snowball into something sinister.

However, he and the others are supportive of Tyson, saying that he is part of the “family” and they would protect him no matter what. That said, they also begin warning the others that Bill might strike at any time.

Dwight, for instance, asks Tina to go back to New York since Tulsa might not be the safest place for her and the kids right now. Tina expresses her disappointment at the fact that her father has not been able to rectify his ways. This exchange between father and daughter forms one of the most poignant moments of Tulsa King season 2, as a weeping Dwight says how sorry he is.

Elsewhere in Even Higher Plane, Dwight instructs Bodhi, Jimmy, and the others to shut down the place and go into temporary hiding. As a result, they pack their things and leave. Jimmy and Bodhi are the last to leave the establishment after ensuring that everything is in order.

As Jimmy and Bodhi walk out, they keep talking about the war situation in Tulsa. Jimmy, a Native American man, remarks that war is natural and usual, and he is prepared for what is to come. As they step out, they are immediately fired at by Bill's men. Bodhi is able to evade the shots but Jimmy is seriously injured.

What is Manny up to?

Manny’s journey in Tulsa King season 2 has been a precarious one. He starts by taking Thresher’s help, not realizing that the latter is essentially buying off his freedom. Then he starts betraying Dwight by giving Thresher inside information about the General.

In episode 8, things get worse for Manny. He has a heated exchange with his wife, who wants him completely gone from her and the kids’ lives. This pushes Manny farther and farther into the quicksand of his alcohol addiction. Desperate, he decides to rob the General.

The final shots of episode 8 of Tulsa King season 2 show a disheveled Manny holding Goodie at gunpoint. He takes stacks of money from the locker and escapes with the same. Goodie warns him that Dwight will find him out and punish him strictly. Manny, however, states that he is now a desperate man.

What has Jackie Ming done?

Jackie Ming continues to be a source of menace in Tulsa King season 2. Midway into episode 8, he lectures Thresher about how Americans are lazy and how the Chinese immigrants succeed because they are willing to be ruthless.

Then, Jackie forces a contract on Thresher: the latter is asked to hand over all of his business to Ming for just $1000. Surrounded by Ming’s gunmen, Thresher cannot help but sign on the paper. He later seeks the help of Bill to check Jackie’s aggression. Bill, however, has enough on his plate already.
