Unsolved Mysteries: More details from co-creator
Terry Dunn Meurer, the president and CEO of Cosgrove/Meurer Productions and a show co-creator, shared more about the upcoming season. He shared via Tudum:
"There are so many different types of intriguing mysteries. I think the variety of cases sets Unsolved Mysteries apart from the true crime genre."
He added:
"I began my career focused on missing persons cases, and I feel that those are still the most troubling. We want so desperately to provide closure for the families of those who have missing loved ones. I think the other category of case that we have profiled is unexplained death stories."
Talking about the upcoming episodes of the fourth installment, he shared that there will be some exciting and interesting cases. There is an episode of a severed head that has not been identified. Also, there is a case of a woman who died in her basement under mysterious circumstances. Another episode will be based on a mysterious creature flying around Chicago and its surroundings.
There’s one more case where a young woman was brutally murdered, however, the killer somehow escaped justice. Viewers might know about the infamous case of Jack the Ripper. According to the makers of the show, the upcoming season will be the “most unique volume yet.”
Unsolved Mysteries: Host
Earlier, Raymond Burr and Karl Malden were the hosts of the show. For the upcoming fourth season of the documentary series, there won’t be any host or narrator, as Cosgrove described it as “pure documentary style.” However, viewers will see longtime and popular host Robert Stack during the title sequence of each episode.
Viewers can watch Unsolved Mysteries starting July 31, 2024, on Netflix.
