A recently released video of Penn Badgley hopping on the "Very demure, Very mindful" TikTok trend has excited fans of the You star. The video, released on Instagram by Netflix on August 16, 2024, has garnered more than three hundred thousand likes at the time of writing this article.

In the video, Penn Badgley can be seen documenting his life on the last day of filming You. The video starts with Badgley in his Joe Goldberg costume, loading lots of baggage into a van and mouthing:

"You see how I show up to work? Very demure, very mindful."

The next scene then shows Badgley walking through the streets of New York, still in his costume and saying:

"I don't really do too much when I'm at work. I'm very mindful."

Badgley's next shot in the short video is a bit grim as we see him screaming inside one of the glass entrapments used by Joe Goldberg throughout the show. Not soon after this, the environment becomes light-hearted when Penn Badgley seemingly appears in front of a window saying:

"Playing a romantic icon for five seasons. I'm very modest, very mindful. You see my shirt? Showing the shoulders, not the boulders."

You fans are elated to see Penn Badgley taking part in the "Very demure, Very mindful" TikTok trend

First started by TikToker Jools Lebron, the “very demure, very mindful” trend seems to have caught fire among the masses, with several common and popular people joining in on the trend.

As an ongoing trend, Lebron's “very demure, very mindful” videos remind her followers not to overdo a particular situation. For instance, in one of her videos, she advised her followers on the decorum that should be maintained while taking a trip with family. While mentioning the importance of arriving early at the airport, Lebron signed off her video with a few words and her statement dialogue. She said:

"Very early, very on time, very considerate, very demure”

It did not take long for Netflix to take cognizance of the popular trend and sign up one of their most trusted friends of 4 years and counting, You's Joe Goldberg, a.k.a. Penn Badgley.

After Netflix made Badgley's video public on Instagram, several fans commented on the video to express their excitement. One user wrote:

"I think he's very mindful."

Another user also shared a similar sentiment and wrote:

"He’s very considerate very consistent."

Another user said:

"This is the only demure I wanna see."

One user who was quick to notice the similarities between the Netflix-released Penn Badgley video and the "Very demure, Very mindful" TikTok trend said:

"He's making fun of another video of a guy telling women they need to show up to work and be mindful and how he is demure and so should the ladies .....I'm here for it."

Comments on the video are still pouring in, as it has only been a few hours, and it seems that the audience is getting even more creative with every comment.
