Nadia Shanaa will be returning to the series, and she will play a pivotal role in the concluding narrative. Elite season 8 will focus on the murder mystery of Joel Huesos, who will be the seventh overall character to be killed off in the franchise.

Omar will be the only person fighting to get justice for Joel by finding out the mystery killer. As seen in the official trailer, the path Omar would embark on won’t be easy, as the elites of Las Encinas will create obstacles in his way.

Nevertheless, given how his character has been throughout seven seasons, he will be determined to overcome challenges, proving that he will get his answers, no matter the cost.

Additionally, as seen in the official trailer, Isadora will be leaving Las Encinas for good, and given her character, she is going to leave in style. Despite her exit from the institution, she will still play a significant role in the conflicts and may become an essential key to the upcoming murder mystery.

Elite season 8 will be the final chapter

As confirmed, Elite season 8 will make its global debut on July 26, 2024. Like most of the series' previous installments, the eighth will also have eight episodes, each with a runtime of 41-49 minutes.

Elite season 8 has been announced to be the grand finale of the longest-running Spanish teen drama thriller, which is anticipated to end the chapter on a good note.

As reported by Deadline, the show’s creator, Darío Madrona, confirmed in October 2023 that season 8 will be the final chapter. Here’s what he said:

"We ended on a high note. Jaime, Netflix, and I thought it was time to end it. I say this with great regret because it’s been several incredible years in which I’ve met wonderful actors, we’ve worked with all the directors we wanted to work with and we’ve had the luxury of having Maribel these last two seasons."

He further said:

"Élite changed everyone’s life, there are actors who started with us and it has been their springboard to be now world stars, it is happening to this cast and it is a pride to have contributed to that and to know that they have seen us all over the world and liked it."

Where to watch Elite season 8

As a platform original, Elite season 8 will be available on Netflix, the only streamer to include the thriller drama in its massive catalog. Besides the streaming giant, the series is unavailable on other OTT platforms. July 2024’s lineup doesn’t just end with the return of Elite, as other major highlights include Vikings: Valhalla season 3 and Cobra Kai season 6 part 1.
